Come From Away is phenomenal. I've seen both the Broadway and touring production. It's a "small" show - very limited set, average sized cast with everyone playing multiple characters, I'm not sure it has a really standout or show stopping song. It's also 95-100 mins with no intermission, and it moves quickly. Of the recent shows you've seen it's maybe closest to Spring Awakening, but that would probably only been in the music sense and in that it's not a huge "show" like the others. I thought it was well-written, a really interesting story, sneakily funny, and good acting. It feels more like a play with some songs thrown in. It's maybe closest to Fun Home in style if you've ever seen that. All that said, go. It's the best thing I've seen on Broadway since Hamilton.

Cool thanks. Is it more music driven or dance driven? Like are there big dance/ensemble numbers, or is it more intimate? Any stand out songs/good melodies I should check out before?

It’s music and story to music no significant dancing alone numbers. There’s is a nice jam from the band tho and then after curtain the band plays for five minutes.

I’ve seen Hamilton four times, once OBC cast, and I wish I had time to see come from away a second time. Amazing amazing show.

Bc you all remember where you were on that day.

I just got done watching Rent Live. I thought the guy who played Mark was really good, and so was Vanessa Hudgens (was hoping to see some tush during La Vie Boheme but whatever, it's fine lol). It was pretty okay otherwise. The OG cast coming out at the end was fantastic. I'm curious as to why they changed the lyrics from "Because reason says I should've died three years ago," to "6 months ago" though. This was my first time watching one of these live Fox productions, and is it common for them to not have understudies? The guy who played Roger broke his foot the day before going live. And, is it normal to have the audience react during these? Was a bit annoying.

I liked the audience reactions, but you have to remember that was the test run footage from saturday most of the sunday night. the levels would have been balanced out a tad. i mean, the performance isn't supposed to be a representation of broadway, with just how elaborate they try to make it. that being said, it was good to great, but not amazing. but any rent is great in its own right. such a culture movement

Nice! Have fun. Was actually looking at tickets for today's show and there a quite a few at face value available. I am sure because of the weather and people not coming or can't get in to the city for the show.

Do they have two running shows of Hamilton? I ask because Hamilton is in San Francisco and was interrupted last night due to a medical emergency. The people who didn't know what was going on thought it was an active shooter.

I really enjoyed Stomp as a kid. I know it isn't a narrative but it is music on a theater stage.

    I’m confused by your question.

There’s the one on broadway, has been at Richard Rodgers since Jan 2016.

    There’s two touring companies.

There’s one stationary one in Chicago (since spring 2017).

There’s the SF (must be similar to the LA one from last year- prolonged residency)

    Then there’s London west end.

How is Waitress? My wife wants to see it while we're in NYC this week. We'd plan to see Burn This.
