Yes....HIGHLY recommend heading up to RR area. The beaches of Sonoma Co. are awesome. Definitely check out Jenner....where the RR meets the ocean. Not much to do there...but plenty of nature and great dining at The River's End. Gorgeous!

Yeah it's kind of a joke! I remember going to Grateful Dead show's at Shoreline in the early 90's and you could party all day and night in the parking lot. Last year for DMB they didn't even open the the lots until 5:00 and then they were clearing everyone out as soon as the lots filled up.

For anyone coming from out of town and looking to tailgate, there's a Strip Mall down the street from the venue. You can get your parking lot party on there until Shoreline opens their lots...

Sports Page is a great spot to prefade, watch sports or hang out in the beer garden. 8min walk to the venue.

My wife and I are one show a year types, except for the 2008 when we saw the last two of the Berkeley Greek (unforgettable). Since then, we have only been able to make one show (Concord, 2010). We really want to go to Shoreline this year, but we have to locate tix. ISO 2 reserved, if anyone's got 'em.

Just curious, does it have to be reserved? I know someone who has 4 lawn tix (at least the last time I spoke with her she had 4). I'd have to talk to her to see of she wants to part with two, or sell all four in the group.

Thanks for the thought, but we feel too old, tired, and addle-brained for the lawn. We need back support. Especially since we're both teachers and the show is right after school starts -- we'll be staggering, but not in a lawnish way. Thanks, though, sincerely.

Don't know about lower level seats but lawn seats are always available at the gate. Even when the show is "sold out".

Thanks for the heads up, but I can't do lawn at Shoreline. Sat on it for Bridge School both nights and the views were terrible, and it was overcrowded with people sitting on the sidewalks and pavement areas (though that aspect might be because no one stands up at Bridge School, so everyone is more spread out, taking up more space).

I'll bite the Stubhub bullet before I do lawn.


I'm sure a few pairs will pop up on the boards though, especially closer to the show. It's just stressing me out having everything booked for the trip but not having tickets.

I wouldnt stress it, if you dont find some on the boards, Ive always seen some at face or more likely less in the 200 section, 100 level is a bit harder. Id wait to close to game time even though I know its hard to not have it set. I used to be the same way and then Id be pissed when I saw way better tix open up for cheaper. Although its the tour closer and only one in Nocal (except for tahoe) its still on a Sunday night and school night.

Ive done the lawn and seating at Shoreline countless times for DMB, Bridge School, Grateful Dead, BFD, Tom Petty,etc,etc,etc... IMOP most (not all but some) people in lower level seats especially at DMB show's are way to stuck up for my taste, not dancing, arms crossed and in true Ants fashion bitching ( or "critiquing" if you're an asshole) about the setlist.

Shoreline is a weird animal. Doesn't seem to be a popular show here or on WH, yet the thing sells out so damn quickly.

Idk if they have a lot of season ticket holders or something, which would explain the uninterested attitude you're describing, or what.

I've been a long time DMB fan, and a long time antsmarching.org org member (I think over 10 years now!)...and now I live in L.A. doing my own acoustic rock-singer-songwriter thing...so for ALL you fellow DMB So.Cal. & CA fans in-general who are getting geared up for the boys of DMB to make their way to CA in September come and watch me play some of their tunes LIVE in and around the L.A./So.Cal. area over the next 3 months at least...I've been playing DMB for over 10 years now and I know and will play plenty of DMB covers to wet your pallet until they arrive!
