The prime rib at the Borgta Steakhouse, which cost me $50 was worth every freaking penny

Some restaurants in the area are.

Steak - Mortens, Ruth Chris, Docks, Old Homestead, Chelsea Prime, McCormick & Schmick, The Palm, The Reserve,

Italian - Carmines, Angelos, Fornelletto, il Mulino,

    Japanese - Izakaya, or OSHI

    Asian - Buddakan, PF Chang's,

    Mexican - Los Amigos

American - The Melting Pot, Continental, The Metropolitan, Wolfgang Puck, Tun Tavern Brewery, Knife & Fork, Blue Water Grille, Back Bay Ale House

Here are a few suggestions of Food in the Area. All good stuff and some are more pricier than others.

There are also a bunch of other places to get food in the City. Going to be a GOOD GOOD TIME NEXT WEEK!

    Re: ***Atlantic City Restaurant Recommendations***

As far as better restaurants go, I can't recommend Cuba Lubre (inside the Tropicana) enough. My fellow and I went there for his birthday last year...but it's definitely pricy, especially if you're looking to get a few drinks also. I also loooove Buddakan and Continental (both on the top floor of the Pier at Caesars). I've been to both (in Philly, not AC, but I don't see there being too much difference)...delicious food, delicious (albeit costly) cocktails.

For a simple lunch, I've always had luck at Pickles Deli (on the Boardwalk, attached to Bally's). Decent prices, decent food. For a simple dinner, Game On (top floor of Pier at Caesars). Standard American fare, tons of TVs playing sports, cheaper prices than a lot of other sit-down places in AC.

If you're looking for the familiar (read: chain places you may or may not have at home): PF Chang's (inside the Tropicana), Hooters (inside the Tropicana, and open later than almost any other place, FYI), Ruby Tuesday (Arkansas and Atlantic, near the Outlets), Applebee's (Michigan and Pacific, near the Outlets), Rainforest Cafe (on the Boardwalk, near Bally's), Johnny Rockets (on the Boardwalk, attached to Bally's/Wild West), Hard Rock Cafe (inside the Taj Mahal). None of these are too exciting or new, I'm sure...but sometimes you like heading somewhere for a meal where you already know what you'll find and what you'll pay.

Oh, and avoid the buffet at Showboat, unless you want to enjoy DMB from the porta-pottys. Too many awful experiences there.
