they've done it before. when D+T played in hawaii a few years ago it was a pavilion. they just sell the reserve seats i think.

usually venues aren't allowed to post anything until it is officially announced by the performer. i think the typical chain of command for dates is something like rumor > confirmed rumor by employee/insider > ticket broker sites > official announcement by performer > venue announcement

is there like a benefit concert or something going on then? why would they randomly schedule D+T in the middle of DMB's tour?? the timing definitely fits, coming back to the east coast after alpine before hitting the rest of the northeast. its just really random.

My husband had heard rumors about this a couple months ago...so I believe it.

I guess there is some sort of rule typically found in contracts that a band can't play at another venue within so many miles of a venue (ie - Darien Lake/CMAC) however D&T is NOT DMB...so this technically wouldn't apply.

i mean i get them playing outside, but when they played the santa barbara bowl that held 4500 and even the Kokua Fest in Hawaii, with the lawn held just over 8000....

lol They really need to make one that has shoulder straps. It would be a good workout on the way in (and you would develop quite a thirst!) and then light as a feather on the way out.
