2020 Tour Rumors

I had a feeling DMB or Dave and Tim would be playing... this festival is literally 3 miles from my apt, I'm pumped!

Did spring training in Scottsdale this past spring but beware, its crazy expensive down there this that time of year.

I have been to Innings Festival for the last 2 years. I had a gut feeling that DMB or D&T would be there. It is a good fit for the type of artists they usually have. Last year Vedder did a solo set, and the year prior Avett Brothers headlined. The festival is very easy to navigate, get to and walk around in. I am excited to see DMB twice in a year as AZ is not the most common tour stop.

With Phoenix being Buddy's hometown, this might be the start of that area of the country getting shows a bit more frequently.

Still hoping that this show and Australia in April don't rule out a Europe jaunt for Dave & Tim in March...

Same. We were really thinking about finally going this year so this may help seal the deal. I normally wouldn't care much to see DMB do a festival set these days, but this would be a nice bonus if going to spring training anyway.

Hate the fees and other crap. $166.65 per ticket...I think the cost of getting from VA to AZ and a hotel/food is better spent on more/other concerts. Cool idea though. But those festival setlists...sigh...

purchased a GA+ ticket for tempe! Not a fan of band festival shows but i like the lineup and the fact it seems it wont be too over crowded

Depends upon how many tickets there are. DMB is a significantly bigger draw than any of the other headliners from the last couple of years listed so far...

As did I for the similar reasons. It seemed like the best value. Fees did suck though!

Going to this! I have a free place to stay in Phoenix and have been meaning to get out to the Indians Spring training for years, this was just the excuse! The cherry on top for me is Jason Isbell....he is my favorite act other than DMB currently.

In regards to the MLB Legends, they added more after last year's lineup release. This year ended up having Roger Clemens, Jim Thome, Rollie Fingers, and a bunch more. The baseball players take pics and sign for no charge.

how crazy is it trying to get around the phoenix area with all this going on? im interested in going and i want to get to a couple games too.

Just got my GA+ ticket.....sounds like after they sell so many, they up the price. Flying out Thursday, home Monday. Only going to the Saturday show, but trying to catch an Indians games in Goodyear also. Pretty excited!

It really depends on where you're staying and where you want to go. That time of year tends to be crowded here. Spring training brings people in - but so do all the damned snowbirds who come hang here. So the roads are more crowded. Restaurants can be harder to get into.

If you're interested in coming in for this - you'd be best served finding a place to stay in Tempe, the eastern/southern part of Phoenix or even Scottsdale. And if you're wanting to hit up spring training games - stay to the east side. Several teams play in the western side of Phoenix (Goodyear, Buckeye, Surprise). As for stadiums - the Cubs opened a new one a few years ago which is actually near the concert venue. The Giants have a nice stadium in downtown Scottsdale. The Angels play in Southeast Phoenix - again near the venue. And the best overall stadium is where the Diamondbacks and Rockies play - that one isn't terribly far from the venue. If you want to hit up a Giants/Cubs/Diamondbacks/Rockies home game - don't wait on getting tickets. Cubs sell out pretty quickly.

One other thing to add - Phoenix does have a light rail system that has a stop pretty close to the festival site. So that would open up hotel locations (i.e. - downtown Phoenix).
