This is something I would do

That 'ton' of other people that are doing the same thing is still 5% of the entire venue/event. Try it sometime and check with your friends who stayed until the end. Depending on the venue, you can easily be home 1-2 hours quicker.

We have a venue here in WA called White River Amphitheater - you're talking 2+ hours just to drive out of the parking lot after a show has ended.

I have left early, but not out of disgust. Alpine Valley traffic can make it take hours to get out of the close to the venue parking. If I leave my seat with about 2 minutes or so left in the last song I can beat most people to my car and get home in a reasonable time.

Nope never left a show once because of a Set or Encore, I look at shows as a whole.

I walked out from the rail of Blossom this year as soon as I heard the first notes of Bayou. Missing that garbage end run (minus Ants) was absolutely worth getting out of the lots in under a minute instead of an hour and a half. I'm quite satisfied with the number of times I've heard You & Me + Stay that I don't to experience them in an encore again.

Haven't gone to nearly as many shows as a lot of you, but only left one early. Mostly was because my wife wasn't feeling great and it was raining - Watchtower started and we started for the car.

Ha, this is my feeling at Camden. You generally know Two Step is going to close and I've heard it enough that I don't need to wait for the end.

Only one time and it was Deer Creek N2 '08. I guess I didn't "get" the whole Thank You closing every single 2-night stand that year. After Gravedigger I was hoping for something else and then they busted into Thank You again and I was like nah I'm good. We also had to drive back to Chicago from Noblesville that night too. It was kind of a no brainer. Unfortunately half the crowd was thinking the same thing so it still took forever to get out. I thoroughly enjoyed the set until that point though.

I ended up going to Alpine N2 that year as well (great decision) and since I just knew going in Thank You was coming, I was able to stomach it a little more and just enjoyed it for what it was.

I left early once because my wife is big on beating the crowd. It was in 2014, and I had already had the 2 sets treatment and was extremely satisfied with the concert I had just seen, so I agreed and we left. The encore ended up being Needle and th damage done, and Shake Me as the closer. Great decision, we walked right tI the car and drove right out of the parking lot.

Left early once... during the encore of this flaming turd:

BOWA and rapunzel couldn’t save it and I had had enough. As soon as the notes of PNP hit, I said to my wife, “that’s it! We’re outta here.”

And I was disgusted too. I said to her on the way back to the car that If blossom (which was our only show left on the docket that year) was that bad that I might ha g it up.

Fortunately Blossom ‘15 was a solid kick ass show.

I didn't walk out, but I didn't leave Hershey very happy. That Shake Me encore closer was brutal.

Spac Night 2 2014 Squirm Shake Me Encore left me a little more than pissed. I went to Hartford later that tour and those shows blew Spac away that year.

I walked out of Camden N2 in 2015. It was cold, it was pouring rain, I was in the lawn, and I couldn't take it anymore. I went inside the concession area to get out of the rain for a bit and watched PNP>Rapunzel on the screen. Then the Ladies came out and I just left. I knew I wasn't going to sit outside in the rain when the rest of the set was just going to be LL songs, and it was starting to flood in the lots so I just left.

When I got home, I looked at the rest of the set list and was pretty happy with my decision. Didn't miss anything.

Been to 2 shows so far in my young show going career. First one we had Belly Belly nice encore closer. I stuck that out right next to the exit

Second one was the first show without Boyd. We got about a verse into Ants before I just couldn't take anymore of it. It sounded horrible. Had
to hit the exits for that one.

Otherwise it could be the most vanilla/boring set ever and i wouldnt leave because it's still DMB and i like 98% of the catalogue

I will generally get by the exit for the encore if I'm driving home, I usually have a 2-3 hour drive home so that extra 5 or 10 minutes you leave early saves a ton of time in the parking lot...i have missed a few songs but I'm ok with it, for example when I go to Denver in August we are staying for a week I won't leave because I have no where to be after, but when its a wednesday night show and I'm working the next day I have no problem missing a Bayou encore

To be fair one time in 71 tries isn’t a bad thing. I just simply couldn’t believe how bad it was last night
