DMBstream was cool and that's a bummer, but I normally d/l shows. I had seen many instances of people wondering how long it would take for that site to be shut down and surprised that it hadn't yet. No one ever said why tho

Anybody remember that dmbsides site that was posting released music (like little red bird disc) and acting like they were legitimate cuz it was b-sides and not album material. Dumbasses

I wish, we leave the 12th, like an hour before it starts. The only show we will be catching is Irvine. I just hope my hip can handle standing for 2+ hours.

I remember that DMB's reason for not allowing their music on the Internet Archive was that they wanted the tape/trade process to involve fan interaction, which you wouldn't get on a site where anyone can go and download the show without so much as logging in. Perhaps they had similar issues with dmbstream - it was all about distributing the music and not at all about the fan community?

I don't know, that's just speculation. I always preferred to download the shows (so I can EQ to taste) but that's a sad loss for those of you who depended on dmbstream.

I used DMB stream on my phone sometimes, it was pretty nifty in that respect, but as far as at home listening, it is all downloaded, work is a lot of spotify, and car i just have a TON of cd's. So really I don't consider it a huge deal.

I agree, it is a pain in the ass. For me, it is a storage issue. Flac files for a whole show are huge, and I don't want to download, copy to multiple CDs and then erase the file to make room on my computer.
DMBstream was incredibly convenient, and I think the choice to shut it down is unbelievably short sighted and misguided.

Abita is a beer brewery in New Orleans (turbodog, etc) but they also brew one root beer. Delish. A couple of breweries also make a root beer... Rogue is another that I know for sure.
