Night one at Red Rocks was crazy. Got hailed on for the first time in my life. Show was excellent despite a delay.

Tonight....I thought I fired something out after they played January Wedding and then played Head Full next. And I was right. They played I and Love and You all the way thru. The complete album.

So, I have seen my two favorite albums of theirs played completely in concert. Emotionalism in my hometown in 2015. And I and Love and You tonight. Amazing. Great band!

You must be from Sheboygan! I was there in '15 and at RR this weekend.

I am! I don’t know if I will ever have a better concert experience than that Sheboygan show. Third row, dead center, favorite album by a favorite band and that place sounds absolutely amazing. Best acoustics I have ever experienced.

There's something about seeing them in those older theaters, with their harmonies, that makes them sound even better. We saw them once in Savannah at the Johnny Mercer Theatre and the acoustics were perfect.

Totally with you on that. I wasnt Guild at that point, but still got into the venue for the show. Amazing set and night to say the least.

Like, the procedure for first entry to try to get railed?

I had pit tickets for the Gorge show last month, but we just rolled up at show time. Got a bracelet and walked in. Wasn't as packed as a DMB show. Lots of room to spread out and still get reasonably close with good sight lines.

Also, that snippet of the new song they posted yesterday sounds... bad. I dunno, I am worried about this new album. I love this band so much but it's really hit or miss with their newer music.

I'm not worried at all. Just like with DMB and every other band I like/love, I'll listen to it and if I like it, I'll listen to it a bunch more. If I don't care for it, then I won't. I already don't care for High Stepping, but I like the other new songs that they've been playing since last year and the ones they were playing earlier this year. I like the vast majority of all of their albums to date, with cover to cover love of Four Thieves through True Sadness. Mignonette is almost there too... I think it's a remarkable run and figure it'll eventually end, but not because of a bad album, merely a less stellar album.

I'm comfortable being in full wait and hear mode. If I don't end up liking the album, I'll just hope for better with the next. Clapton, Santana, DMB, Coldplay, U2, Metallica, Paul McCartney, and lots of other bands have given me plenty of practice. With all of these bands, there's still a ton of great stuff to listen to and be excited about hearing/seeing live.
