Stefan just posted this to his soundcloud, it sounds like it might be from a while ago, but regardless it sounds really really good.

I listened to it this morning. Pretty good. What exactly is Stefan's involvement? Is he just mixing these songs?

I was under the impression he writes/performs almost everything he sticks up. Might even be him singing, kinda sounds like it could be.

I'd love for him to post some stuff he and diggy did together. That'd be sweet. On a second listen, it kind of does sound like him singing. can hear a slight lisp, and it's got a pitch similar to when he speaks.

He did some projects and posted them on SoundCloud for the online class (I think it was music theory) he took at Berklee earlier this year.

I don't know if he's taking another class or if he's just composing on his own. Maybe Dave's given everyone in the band a homework assignment?

Song's alright. The intro is the best and it does have a slight resemblance to Idea of You

I hear no more Idea of You in this than I hear Sister in Baby Blue and no one has a problem with that. Or Recently in Raven. Or Jimi Thing in BOWA. JS.

I think it's definitely him singing. And I hear The Idea of You definitely in that little repeated riff in the intro. He's posted stuff that he did like 10-15 years ago, and also stuff he's done in the past year or so, so I'm not sure when this is from, but to me it sounds like it's something from a while back.

Yeah, but not all pop is shit. There is some awesome pop out there. The Beatles produced some amazing pop music and so has DMB.

No it isn't. I can play both songs exactly how Dave does and they do not have the same progression. They have similar chord structures (like Grey Street and Tripping Billies), but that's it.

Yes, they are and its not up for debate. Clearly you're playing the notes on a different octave or something and you don't realize it. The first two notes are exactly the same and its too similar not to notice. Sorry, the sarcasm wasn't directly picked up on by you. Clearly, not exactly the same. But yes, they are very similar.
