Why has Peter Greiser never guested since his departure?

They must've parted on bad terms for him to NEVER guest with the band again. If there is one thing they could do to send fans into orbit, it'd be to have PG guest one night, and play "People People". I wish this would happen, as I really love that song.

He has stated he just moved on.

But there is no indication that there were bad terms. In fact Dave has written for the One charity, where Peter has affiliation.

So dont assume there were bad terms.

If this ever happened I might have to just retire from DMB. Not sure too many things could ever top that.

Big P.G. fan? The Band's sound (for me) improved rapidly after his departure.

Not something I would want at the last show. I would want their last show to be the band I know and love, and a celebration of everything they've become.

Yeah he's just moved on. Sort of like the drummer who decided being in a band was lame and wanted to go to medical school.

Losing interest in being in the band is one thing and one I can understand, but never having your interest piqued for an historic or anniversary appearance seems like something else. I mean, from what I understand, the dude is still a professional musician..

Do people really like People People? Or is it the "rare factor"? Therefore people think it's good?

I really enjoy People People. Love the 1.26.93 version, the last ever played (at least publicly).

Its better than a great number of post 2000 songs that get played frequently. Thats enough for me to want to see it.

There doesn't seem like any bad blood, as they have stayed in contact. Also, Tim has played with Peter and recorded with him a couple of times over the years. Same with LeRoi and Carter.

I'd love to hear him on People People, Warehouse, and So Much To Say. That would be great.

Did Pete leave? I thought he was fired by John, Paul and George. I was referring to Sam Altman (Bisco) and Mike Mirro (Umphrey's) who both left to attend medical school.

I would leave Bisco too. Umphreys though, man you could laid til you were 40 with no problem.

He got fired in favor of Ringo. I think you're thinking of Stu Sutcliffe, the band's original bass player, who left to bang his hot bohemian German girlfriend, then died of a brain aneurysm.

Going back early in the bands tapes. The two steps with PG were incredible. Dave often would sing some of Jimmy Buffet's "mexico" over the end jam. Must of been fun to see them way back then. Anyone here ever get to witness a show with that old line up?

2-25-93 at the least. possibly the show before that as well. ill go back and check my notes.

The tape is labeled 2-25-93. There is some discrepancy on the almanac about some shows around this time. However on meetattheshow thats the date its labeled at least

I tried replying to the email you sent us, but it bounced back, saying your email was unavailable. The 2/25 tape is actually from 2/26, and a new 2/25 tape was discovered that actually happened on that date!

Absolutely. That end jam with PG and Roi punching through was pretty awesome for Two Step...would be incredible if Buddy would do this now, they could play a full Two Step and the heavy lifting wouldn't have to rest on Carter.
