yup. They kill it together way before and way after this show together. I guess i was just really wondering if there was anything more significant. Having it being PG's last show is cool but he sits out two step and typical. Seems like a standard show.

It really is an average show as far as ‘93 goes... I’ve heard way better stuff throughout that year. I’m wondering if it was maybe a popular tape back in the day? Like maybe it got traded around a lot and just became a popular tape among the traders. Idk... just spitballing.

But I did just listen to it a couple weeks ago. #34 is actually pretty bad on it...

Yah I think you’re right. Maybe we didn’t have the access to as much as we have now. Also according the almanac they shelved 34 till 2005 after that night. Funny.

I’d say it’s the quintessential DMB tape. It’s a great soundboard quality show from Trax with some stellar performances and rare songs. An awesome Dave solo set opens with the best performance of Heathcliff’s Haiku Warriors. The bands second set is crazy good. That Rhyme and Reason, #34, and especially Minarets » Blue Water. It’s the longest, baddest Blue Water ever. The ending with Carter and Roi is the band at their best in my opinion.

Plus some cool random things about the show like it’s moniker, the funny titles in the setlist, the end of an era. My favorite period of the band is actually April 93 - 1998, but this to me is the best representation of the “Peter Greiser” era. No it doesn’t contain his funky ass Two Step jam or People People. But the show is damn good otherwise. It encompasses the Trax days, and tape trading and is just iconic. It’s like Red Rocks 95 of tapes. No Red Rocks 95 isn’t the greatest show of that era, but it’s somehow perfect, and still holds up as the bands greatest live album to lots of folks. (myself included)

Aw shit, I almost forgot about that Rhyme & Reason! Damn, why'd they stop playing it like that?

Pretty well said. The Rhyme and Reasons from that time were great.

Sorry to jump back into this but just listened to 4-2-93 blue water and if you havent listened to that one yet, it might rival the Big League Chew show version. Check that out. In my opinion, the best one i have got to.
