I haven't tried playing it so I could be way off, and im terrible at writing tabs- but I think its just

    --1--1--1--x
    --1--1--1--1
    --2--1--1--0
    --3--2--1--2
    --x--x--x--3
    --x--x--x--x

    For the verse.

And then the chorus is Gm, F, Dm, C- and I don't know the exact run up he does before the Gm

Just submitted one to Ultimate Guitar but here it is:

    Code:
    Dave Matthews Band
    Virginia in the Rain

Watch the Live from Jiffy Lube stream at 3:00:20 to learn the strumming pattern.
    https://youtu.be/wY3hwEVCong?t=10844

Uses a palm mute technique with a very specific rhythm.
Mostly hits on the bass notes and occasionally hits the C (first fret on the B string) as an accent note.

    Verse

    Chord Shapes:

    e|---|---|---|---|
    B|-1-|-1-|-1-|-1-|
    G|-3-|-2-|-1-|-0-|
    D|-3-|-3-|-3-|-2-|
    A|---|---|---|-3-|
    E|---|---|---|---|

Approximate mirror of what he does, but listen to rhythm to properly play:

    e|---------------|---------------|
    B|---1-1------1--|---1-1------1--|
    G|-3-3---3----3--|-2-----2----2--|
    D|-3-------3--3--|-3-------3--3--|
    A|---------------|---------------|
    E|---------------|---------------|

    e|---------------|-------------|
    B|---1-1------1--|---1------1--|

    D|-3-------3--3--|-2-----2--2--|
    A|---------------|-3--------3--|
    E|---------------|-------------|

    Chorus

    e|-x-|-x-|-(1)-|---|
    B|-x-|-x-|--3--|-1-|
    G|-3-|-2-|--2--|-0-|
    D|-0-|-3-|--0--|-2-|

This is great, thank you! Really loving this solo performance from Bristow. I used to play a lot of guitar but dont anymore. This strumming pattern is awesome but also made my forearm extremely tired haha.
