Re: Live at Folsom Field = One of the Best Releases

This Bartender - Dave's intensity, the entire bands synch and Roi's perfect Pennywhistle outro - is one of my all-time favorite performances of this band ever.

I was happy to see this thread as just the other day I was just telling a friend about how bad the DVD edit was. This reminded me to show him. There are patches where it's not too bad, but yes, the triple-screen action that zooms in and out is unfortunate.

We watched a couple songs and then skipped to the credits. The credits which are in F'ING COMIC SANS or something terribly similar. It's icing on the cake.

I was always fond of the CD, but when I became a fan it was practically all there was. Red Rocks, Chicago, Listener Supported, Central Park, Luther College, and this.

I was at the show. My 2nd DMB show ever. And remember seeing the signs everywhere it was going to be filmed for release. I was sooooo disappointed when I got the VHS tape. Dave said they wanted to play somewhere big to put all the cameras. I bet he didn't know they were going to use them all in 2 second bursts for 3 hours.

This was my second show ever. Feeling old knowing it was 20 years ago! It was a hell of a show for that tour.

I remember the rain throughout Angelique Kidjo and especially during Wyclef and then it let it up right around Don't Drink the Water / JTR

Literally this. This has always been my favorite Bartender. Even on the dvd(which obviously leaves a lot to be desired) it captures so much emotion. Amazing
