Seems weird that they’d have different pricing structures based on when you joined because you have to be recommended to the board by a member. He was surprised when I told him about what my dues would be.
That is odd. CC's do odd things sometimes when it comes to membership. I'm assuming it is a member owned club?

    I believe so.

My guess is they’re trying to capitalize on the new found popularity of golf and the new young money moving into the area because of Amazon, DHL, and all the other freight companies that followed them into the airport.

Until my wife is making principal money and the kids are old enough to swim or golf, I think muni golf life + a few guest rounds at the private clubs is what I’m looking at.

Joined the Nest today. Really wanted early access to the rental at Sweetens for next year.

Rocketballz 2 driver, stiff shaft flex, hasn't been out of the bag yet, I'll sell it to you for 125.00 if interested.

How eager are you to get rid of it? Could I snag it from you in the spring or is it burning a hole in your closet?

It was sunny and about 80oF here today. Was a beauty day to play hooky!

Worth noting this is most rare. The daytime avg high is around 45-50oF. Big day of 36 holes coming up Sunday - Ryder Cup style. We play 9 each of scramble, alternate, best ball and singles.

Played with some buddies today. Could not hit the fucking ball the first two holes and basically ruined my round with a triple and double. Other than that, about my average the rest of the way. I just stink

Nice. I'm playing Sunday afternoon. I'm confident going in because I made a slight adjustment in my setup last weekend and since I have played 27 holes and not hit any really bad tee shots. So I will probably hit 3 balls OB.

    35-39

One dumb shot lead to a double when I basically had par guaranteed with a layup. Had 3 legit looks at birdie on the last 4 holes and missed them all.

48 degrees and showers this afternoon means no golf for Noles. I think Noles junior is still going to play though. He has more of a purpose than I do.

Forgot to post yesterday that I shot 88 with one blow up hole on Sunday. Could have been a pretty decent round. I have two rounds on the books this week if the weather holds. Looking good as of right now.

I’m thinking about shutting it down for the year unless I get an invite somewhere cool. Probably should never play again after shooting 74.

As of now it looks like I'll be playing in about 38 degree weather on Saturday

If I would have shot or broken par, I really think I might have quit playing. I don’t see myself ever being able to take it into the 60s on a real course. One of the munis we play has 5 reachable Par 4s from the tips, so I guess it could be in play tjere.

This is going to sound dumb, but fairways, greens, and 2 putts is wildly boring.

Supposed to go out Friday afternoon with my pops. Weather looking kind of iffy at the moment.

Shot a 91 last time out, I'm just straight-up not getting any better. It's sort of frustrating but by the same token, I play like once every week or two, so I can't really expect to improve that much. My one buddy who is single and living at home with his parents b/c of COVID (usually lives in NYC) is playing like 3-4 times per week. He shot like an 83 or 84 this past week when we played. If I played as frequently as he does, I could get into that range, just don't have the time, unfortunately.

Get yourself the impact ball. Totally changed everything for me and you don’t even need to pound real balls for it to make a difference.

Missed a 4 foot birdie on #18, which if I made it woulda been my career low 81 Sunday. Thought about it all night after

May call it a season being that I shot my best round of the year (82) and it's late October. Finish on top!

This is the one I use. There are all kinds on the market. I’m sure you could buy something that does the same thing at the dollar store, but the tether is nice to have.
