It may well have been. I know it was incentive for an awful lot of people. I also think many liberals don't get, see or know that.
They see that attitude as an affront to their values and what they see as common decency. I lean toward being more PC, if that's what you'd like to call it, for that reason. Kindness is biggest in the word cloud of my values, so being more inclusive is a good thing to me. I digress.
I try to understand people I don't agree with instead of antagonize them. I'm not perfect, as Currupted's signature demonstrates. (Although I do largely stand by the essence of that quote.)
I've made an effort, especially since Nov. 8, to engage people who voted for this president why in an effort to understand how we got here.
Liberals and progressives need to stop being OK with losing with their noses in the air about how smug and right they are. Great. You kept the moral high ground. You don't have any kind of power at the federal level. So what did you really win?
