I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have written them in here if I was joking.

    1. BWGGK is absolutely better then LWS. Busted Stuff is better then the LWS as well. People just loved the allure of an unreleased album, they worshipped Lillywhite and they hated what happened after... Everyday.
    2. Sugar Will is one of the most overrated live songs around, in particular the jam. It's like the Smooth Rider jam from Red Rocks, but more boring and meandering.
    3. If I want to hear a rare, quiet song, I'll listen to the studio version or a soundboard version of it. The crowd doesn't care if they haven't played in x amount of years.

I guess to each their own. LWS is my favorite album period (With BTCS being a close second) LWS has my favorite songs, favorite lyrics, and you can hear the pain and cynicism just pouring out of Dave's voice.

I don't care about the crowd or the fact they haven't played a song in a while, I just tend to really like those songs, and I thought Sugar Will live was great.

-BS Bartender is easily better than LWS Bartender.

-No song should top 15 minutes and most should be under 10. The best versions of all the long-jams fit this criteria (#41-LS, Seek Up-RR95, Bartender-FF, Two Step-LT13, etc.)

-Studio versions of *most* songs on BTCS absolutely pale in comparison to their live counterparts, which is not the case for UTTAD, Crash and BS.

-Halloween is generally really overrated, probably wouldn't crack my top 30.

Sugar Will was absolutely trashed and completely loathed in 2004. This is a fact. (Check the search bro)

Then they don't play it for a while and all of a sudden it's great again.

Now I know people will respond to this by saying "oh I always loved Sugar Will" or "I don't remember anyone hating Sugar Will". They would be liars. Sugar Will is fucking terrible and everyone agreed. Search, bitches.

As for Spoon, always hated it. Hate it live (it was very sloppy and not all that great musically). Hate it studio. Hate Alanis.

    Song sucks.

Well seeing as I've only recently started reading this board and didn't even know that DMB existed in 2004 I can honestly say that I've liked sugar will since the first time I heard it. Also, how dare you hate a song off btcs, lol.

Spoon is great, but wayyyyyyyyyyy overhyped.

If it was on the new album, peopole would rip some of the lyrics to shreads.

Ok maybe say it's too slow, maybe say it was a bit sloppy live... but the lyrics? Come one now it's one the finest example of Dave's writing. It's lyrical gold and absolutely flawless.

I've seen it twice now live. It was a fucking disaster in 03. Better in 08 but still nothing special. ...and I know I've discussed this in the past but musically I think it's pretty tight on the album but the lyrics and Alanis kill it for me.

    Lyrically it's flawless.

However, the jams before and after the lyrics are too long, repetitive, meandering and not that interesting. It's not that it's bad musically, it's really just too long. By about 12 minutes. If that's a 7-9 minute song, I'm good with it. 17-19 is complete over kill.

Wow no. Yeah, it's been strong BW overdrive since the album came out, but leave the ED and SU in the bag. It's not worth the suckiness.

    Song sucks.
I actually did always enjoy Sugar Will, since I'd heard it before I ever even knew what Ants.org was and thus didn't have my opinion on their music shaped by whatever the popularly held opinion was by Ants at the time.
