1. Life In Technicolor - you're right. This is just fantastic. Nothing more to say, it's just that good.

I don't know if you know this, but that isn't even their song. There is a techno guy that opened for them in Europe and it is literally the exact same song on his album. They just put a band arrangement behind it. I'll try to find it so you can hear it.

The new Coldplay album Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends is out on 12th June. I worked on the album as one of the co-producers for much of last year, and contributed some sounds and various keyboard instruments. An adapted version of one of my new tracks Light Through The Veins also appears as the intro to the first track Life In Technicolour, and as the backing for the track hidden at the end, The Escapist.

Outside of what is used as an intro on the Coldplay song... they're very different.

It comes out November 25th, if you go here: http://www.coldplay.com/glass/ you can play a game of chance and hope you hear all the songs. They got ripped from this, and they're just previews of the songs on the EP.

Unless the only part you like is from 0:00-0:40 then it's a Coldplay song.

Thank you so much for posting these. Not a big fan of Rainy Day, but good Lord the others are unreal amazing. Thank you for posting this.

Oh, and as for Life In Technicolor, I dig the entire thing so I guess I enjoy a Coldplay song?

Life in Technicolor II sounds so awesome. Wow.

Anybody see them on this tour? They sounded great. The new songs worked so well live, I couldn't believe it. Lovers in Japan was probably the highlight of the show for me. The only one I'm still not sold on, even after seeing it live, is Strawberry Swing. It never grabbed me and didn't in a live setting either. The only complaint I have about the show was the fact that they played for an hour and a half. Also, a complete disregard for Parachutes, aside from Yellow. If they had played maybe 3 more songs off of Parachutes I would've been absolutely blown away by the show despite it probably still coming in under 2 hours.

I agree about the awesomeness that was Life In Technicolor II. I saw them at the United Center show. Which was a two night stand they recorded for DVD. They played the same set both nights, but the 2nd night they played a few more songs at the end. So obviously if the DVD ever comes out, it will be a mix of both. They probably just wanted a lot of camera angles.

They used the concert footage from the United Center for the Lost! music video.

I've been in a Coldplay mood since I preordered the album and stumbled back across this video. I hadn't seen it in a while and had forgotten how absolutely beautiful this song is. Top 3 songs of theirs for me. Easily.

So have you guys heard the EP yet? I think it's pretty darn good. LiT II is, as expected, wonderful. And "Glass of Water" is gorgeous.

i love the ep. other than the unnecessary Jay Z stuff, i was disappointed with Lovers In Japan (Osaka Sun Mix)--maybe i'm missing something, but it sounded exactly the same as on VLV, minus the extra hidden song on the same track of VLV.
