I saw them on the X&Y tour and on this tour and both times they were excellent. I wouldn't see them on multiple stops of a tour, but that doesn't mean they were bad.
On a more general note, i think varying setlists is a bit overrated. I saw Rob Thomas on a Matchbox Twenty documentary say that everyone who comes to their shows each night pay the same amount of money and so deserve the same quality show. So they come up with the best show they can do, with the best mix of songs, and they do it every night. Sure, it eliminates the need for someone to go multiple nights, but it also means you know that if you go, you're going to get a great show.
Unlike DMB where you could get #41, The Stone and Halloween one night, then the next get Old Dirt Hill, When the World Ends and Bayou. And bad luck if you only get a chance to go to that one show that has a poor setlist.
