Gorge 2008 - Labor Day Weekend

well, I must join in, I too am looking to make the big pilgrimage to the gorge this year.

I feel like being a party pooper, but I definitely want to stay in a hotel...

finals week sucks, but once that's outta the way, I'll be dreaming here with the rest of you

Yeah Im not too sure about the whole RV thing, but Im thinking a tent might be the ticket.

Lookin good bud. Got a nice 4 weeks comin, cant wait for it. As of friday in two weeks I will be in Iowa hitting the bars like its going out of style. Cant wait.

um actually not that hot out here, yet, id say round 80-90 most days at the moment, which is fine, not hella hot yet. will do late dec to mid january. although, it was a stinker on saturday and sunday, so maybe its comin early.

Out where my friends are its great, here in illinois is just eh. Lets face it unless your into the goign to the bars every night you want to go out, there really isnt that much of a nite life, and Im not the biggest drinker in case you didnt notice.

Ton my fav boy!!! Yeah mr. sleep until 3 pm wake up, take a shower and go to the show...WTF..way different this year....i'm rolling over and making sure you are awake as early as i am..7 AM baby!! Only needed 4 hours of sleep a night..hence no hang over!!

4 days? i usually do 6-7 days...arrive wed and piss around sea head to WH on thursday and leave monday back to sea and leave either tuesday or wed...but i was speaking with April not to long ago and we were talking about gettin up to WH on Wed for an extra 2 days a pure partying and hangin'.....wonder if they are open on wed or just thursday-monday..hmmm

seriously, just join in an RV, not much different from a hotel. the showers are hot and nice with the sky above....it's awesome.

sounds good to me....I'll be able to save up enough comp time to do extra days...I'm always in for some EXTRA drinking and partying and such
As for WH we def need to find out if they open early and if not there are cheap hotels not too far....oh what a time it will be

Heck yeeah! I love that this thread is going and its barely December.

Sooo.. I've always stayed at the Gorge campground because I like being able to walk home at the end of the night, but this year I was seriously thinking about WHorsing it up instead. Also, regardless of where I'm staying, I was set on the idea of getting there a day early on Thursday to get in one extra day. Anyone else doing this? I know alot of you are WHorse-ers, and was wondering if it is worth dealing with the bussing to and from the show? Also, did anyone walk to the venue from WH last year? I tried once (for another concert) and got a stern talking-to from the law.

WH opens on thursday, so you should def. check that out if you wanna get up there early. and nothing beats the shuttle! the walk to the shuttle line has GOT to be shorter than the walk back to the gorge campgrounds!

what is going to be funky is not having to go to the gorge from Pullman... I am very thankful for that haha.. possibly the worst 2.5 hour drive there is

oh and this year, i will actually make it to the photo a little earlier than RIGHT before the shutter clicks

Yeah, the novelty of the walk back to the gorge campground kinda wears off after the first night. Do you know when WH camping passes go on sale?

yeah WH is where its at..the shuttle ride is money, except after n1 when no one told you where to catch the shuttle again and i started to head back to the gorge campsite..when in doubt eh? I called EVERYONE and finally after like 12 tries Eric(newscane) picked up and they stopped and waved posters around for me until i found them...yeah...use the buddy system!!

that drive coulda been as bad as the shoreline to home one surely? wasnt that a big fuck off nite, haha

ps kids..my hotel has just flooded..well the first floor...huge water pipe borke in one of the rooms above the bathroom and its like niagra falls in there..nasty...gotta go put on a Housekeeping uniform and kicks and start extracting some H20

ahhh yes.. that shit drive from Shoreline to Seattle... possibly the worst thing I have ever had to do haha
