Oh, I agree. I think its simply gonna be 2 awesome shows!

Both Reagan and Dulles are both just about 2 hours from C-ville. Not too bad.

I don't want to be a downer, but I ask all of you that are extremely excited right now and thinking that these shows are going to be amazing to chill out just a little bit. Back in 2001 everyone was ecstatic because the band was coming home to play for the first time in a long time and everyone thought the shows were going to be legendary. How could they not having Neil Young open? And then they played the show. It is easily the worst show I have ever seen the band perform. There were highlights, but overall the show did not live up to the expectations that I and many many others had for it. I really think DMB will treat these shows as just part of the tour, they are not going to be Red Rocks caliber or 2nd night MSG caliber. I'm not saying I'm right, they could come out and blow everyone away, but I'm saying to just lower the expectations a little, so that if they aren't that great it won't hurt as much.

2001 was bound to be a downer.... 1.) It was the first night of the tour and band is usually not as good towards the front end of tours and 2.) It was the first show with live everyday and we all know that intially everday did not translate well live... This show is totally different, it is a real homecoming... They are opening a new arena in their hometown and its the end of the tour. Shows at the end of the tour are usually much better (i.e. RR o5)

If its someone your friends with, I don't see a problem with it but it can't hurt to join the WH yourself. Its only 30 bucks and its another shot...

Well first post but I have been am avid reader for awhile. Booked at the Best Western Cavalier Inn, which it looks like some other people are, so that's going to be great. I think these shows will be fantastic. Last stop of the tour, home town, 2 nights and TBA opening it will be awesome.
