Definitely. No disrespect taken, this was almost my exact response when I was told. It makes very little sense to me that they would announce random non-festival shows in NH after the major tour announcement.

Me personally, I doubt it materializes. But given the person who told me I just figured I'd put it out there, see if anyone else heard some rumors, etc.

Maybe NH will get a four nighter on Memorial Day weekend. ZBB did that in Gilford a couple years back.

They would almost instantly be the most sought after tickets for the tour. I'm drooling at the thought of four nights w/ minimal to no repeats...80 or so songs. It would give away almost the whole tour though.

They couldn't sell out two nights in Gilford, they're not going to do 4. ZBB draws better at Meadowbrook than DMB.

I don't think we're getting any more east coast dates. They're just taking a longer break in May because they're going over to Europe first.

They're off for 26 days before Camden, but then just 8 days later, there's a big 5 day hole after Hartford. Granted, some travel is involved getting to Noblesville, but 5 days off just seems unnecessary, coming on the heels of a 26 day vacation. Monday & Tuesday shows on 6/24 & 6/25 fit nicely, and it's an easy trip from Hartford.


Perhaps they have an agreement with Hartford, not to saturate the region with an additional 2 shows, so that's why they're holding off on announcing the Gilford dates, until Hartford has sold out.

Gilford isn't happening. If it was, it would've been announced Tuesday.

Very possible you're correct. But someone from New Hampshire posted a rumor from a "reliable source," that they were yet to be announced.


And there's a 5 day gap in the schedule that does not make sense since it comes a week after an almost 1 month break.

dave already writes setlists for 3 nights at the gorge without repeats. he could do a 4th without much of an issue. maybe that early in the tour would be tough, but he could do it. they have enough songs they can play by memory without needing practice. and then throw in a handful of repeats over the 4 nights, it would be even easier.

No one can confirm, but I don't think it matters, unless you are the very last request confirmed and there's less than 4 pits available

Pure random thought on my end as I know nothing about the intricacies of touring, recording, etc with exception of what's discussed on these boards, but could the longer breaks in the tour be for working on and/or continuing work on the next album? I know it's been discussed there could be a quick turnaround on another album with just the material we know they have?

Doubtful.

Most likely they simply need a break. Just did a winter tour, 2 months later month long tour in Europe then weeks later another few weeks of touring in the US.

I heard this about Stapleton as well. I've become a big fan of Stapleton, that man has some pipes and can play. I keep hoping he redefines "country" away from the Chesny, Luke and other pop country crap to more blue grass stuff.

I would highly not recommend not requesting four tix for any shows unless you are prepared for getting the worst tier possible.

there were 2 repeats over the gorge weekend this year. both songs were from the new album that they were promoting, which should not be a surprise in an album year. dave also easily could have played a whole 2 different songs too. its not like going without any repeats would be a stretch.
