I am glad the band is changing things up. I went to the Maine show and it looked like they were having fun with the new format (acoustic and electric).

I'm sorry for folks that don't like the lovely ladies... But that's not me! I love them. I'm happy to see them back. I was around when they first started playing with them. I enjoyed it then. Everytime I've heard stay without them, I felt it was lacking. I was so so happy last night! For folds that don't like them, hang in there. This too shall pass. For now, don't shit on my rainbow please.

Some people just will never be happy.
I am sure the other 95% of the people in attendance who don't regulary follow the band enjoyed the show and found it a good addition. Went to my first show in 98, did not go to another one until 2012. I just stopped going to live shows, married, children and work took my time. Not to mention the almost 30 minute #41 closer in 98 got a little repetitive, but I enjoyed it since I was at the show..

I'll take anyone's tickets who are so outraged. I've seen enough shows without the Lovely Ladies that I'd be fine seeing them this summer, not 2 or 3 years in a row.

They will be with us for a few shows. The dates, I'm not sure of, but they'll be with us 4 awhile. #MuchLoVE
As long as they're not in stage for more th an 3-4 songs I don't see it as a big deal. I would prefer them not to be there, but won't mind seeing them.

With all that said, I'm glad my shows don't start for 3 weeks. I won't be mad if they're in Blossom or Burgettstown but I don't wanna see them at the Chicago 4th of July shows.. and honestly I really can't see that happen anyway

Well they can't be sticking around for too long - Cindy Mizelle is going to be on tour with Steely Dan starting on 7/2.

My thoughts exactly. I've seen Cindy Mizelle with Springsteen a couple of times over the last few years, and she fits in well there, but I could not have been more disappointed when I saw the Almanac this morning. Going to both Camden shows next weekend, and I am seriously debating selling my tickets.

I don't ballwash, but I don't really bash this band either. I enjoy every show I go to despite wanting better sets. One thing I don't want is to see the Lovely Ladies, ever. And with Camden coming up in less than a week, I will be concerned they will be there. So to you guys who say "fuck the haters," grow up. Some people just don't like the Lovely Ladies and have no interest in seeing them live.

the LL guesting on 3 songs during a 21 show concert would make you sell your tix?

The Lovely Ladies (aka the talent-less waste of space) returning was the worst news I have heard all year. Now there is a dark cloud over the shows the rest of the summer knowing at any point they could come out on stage. As soon as they were brought out last night I knew crappy Stay was about to be played. I thought this shit ended for good in 2001.

I am baffled as to why anyone would complain about the Lovely Ladies. They have angelic voices, awesome stage presence, and provide a good changeup for the 3-4 songs per show that they sit in on.

All the fans that bitch and moan about stuff like this are the types of fans I hate being around at shows - never satisfied, always complaining, and always acting like their shit don't stink because they have been to more shows than everyone else. I hope the haters sit at home and don't go to the shows - it will make it more enjoyable for everyone else.

I really wish I had an opportunity to see a show this summer with the LL. Be grateful for a band who wants to try to mix things up and bring back something to keep fans guessing.

Loving the boards x10 the last 24 hours.

I'm really just completely indifferent. I got tired of the ladies by 2001 and my first show in 02 without them was refreshing but then the shows I saw with the ladies, namely the 1st and 4th show are in My top 10 with my first show being #1 overal on my listing.

Nick, I don't think you saw my post in another thread. I saw the LL guested on Minarets at one of the shows you went to. What exactly did they do on that tune?

There stage presence last night was fantastic...I think LL and the band didn't think they would get such a reaction and they were totally overwhelmed by the Hani Hani chant that started and played it up

My highest rated show, 7/25/00, had the ladies. However, they added nothing to the songs and were the only blemish on the evening.

7/15/01 featured a 14 minute Angel. I was completely over the ladies at that point.

Was so happy when they were gone. Walnut Creek in 02 was so refreshing without them.
