These dudes brought the goods when I saw them a month or two ago. No covers, but yet they still had the whole place rocking. Everyone was into it. Like Turkuaz meets Halloween. Cannot wait to see them again.

Looking at those Billy Strings dates in Cincinnati (3/16-18), and Cleveland/Detroit (6/13-14, 6/16) and trying to decide how much Billy I need in my life. Not sure if the answer is “a lot” or “a whole helluva lot”.

here come the mummies is my favorite band that dave is not a part of

i would absolutely LOVE it if they were an opener at the gorge some time. they would be a killer guest for a song like jimi. just have the entire band come out and take over the song for 10 minutes.

i've seen them a handful of times now. even though the show is generally the same each time, its still a ton of fun. everybody who i've introduced them to has absolutely loved the show as well.

its amazing that they play these 1,000 seat theaters and not anything more than that. i know the rumors about them having primary music gigs, which likely makes them want to keep this small and a just for fun thing, but i feel like if they wanted to be big, they absolutely could be. make the show an extra 40 minutes long or so and they an be headlining a place like red rocks.

Someone told me who the Saxophone player was like seven years ago. I wish I could remember but I didn't care at the time. He was just a mutual friend and pretty sure he had a normal job in the industry. Kicking myself for not remembering now.

At one point they had two double saxophonists facing each other. Imagine adding Jeff and his double sax for a Jimi trio

I think most of them are from Nashville. Really wanted to drive over to see them on Halloween. The rumors claim that there are some Grammy award winners in the band, and contractual obligations are why they don't reveal their names. Wouldn't surprise me though. They were all incredibly talented, rotated instruments frequently, and still sounded fantastic throughout.

Probably going to be a light year (especially compared to 2022) because we're taking our kids to Disney, but here's what we have so far:

    3/11 - Andy Frasco - Seattle, WA
6/9 - 6/11 - Brandi Carlie, Joni Mitchell, Highwomen & many special guests - Gorge
    7/15 - Dead & Company - San Francisco, CA

We'll for sure be doing DMB at the Gorge and any Pearl Jam shows around us that get announced, but aside from that, probably just some smaller shows in Seattle.
