I'm taking the Contestants' Quiz tonight, assuming my commute doesn't run too late. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable, but that thing is pretty damn hard (30 questions in 15 minutes), and it's only the first step. Assuming you do well enough, there's also a Contestants' Test you have to take afterwards, and then they vet people who scored well enough on that to see if they're interesting enough to be on TV. I can't say as I ever plan on actually getting on this thing, since I've taken the Quiz three times before and never made it past that, but it's always fun to try.

I don't know if you guys saw any of last week's episodes, but Dan McShane is one of my good friends. We had a big party for him 2 Fridays ago when he first aired. He ended up playing 5 days, losing on the last. He did get put in the Jeopardy! Hall of Fame, though. Needless to say, his shit blew up. He was all over the news here on Long Island/NYC. People interviewing him, asking about his future plans, what he's gonna do with the money, hipster girls on Tumblr falling in love with him, etc...Pretty great stuff.

Oh wow that's sad. I only watch here and there but the last time I watched it was her first win. Had no idea about her condition but I remember thinking she was really quiet and reserved.

I know she got at least 6 figures. She cleared that the other day. Very very happy she got to live her dream, and it seems legitimately too. Not like the producers did it for the story. I mean, she won what 5 in a row? Good for her.
