Re: The MLB Thread

I just realized, no team went more than 4 games without being undefeated. That must be some sort of record.

    The MLB Thread

Got some tix to the Mets game Saturday. With an off day tomorrow, Degrom will be pitching. Plus, the McNeil bat flip today was absolutely ridiculous coupled with Conforto leaning into a pitch to win the game...hoping for some fireworks.

Awesome dude enjoy. I got tickets for them this year on my birthday against the Dodgers. Can't wait to be back at Citi.

Why’s it overrated? I may have heard that argument before but I don’t remember why people think that.

A no-hitter has only been accomplished 304 times at the MLB level since 1876. Think about how many games have been played in 145 years. It’s not overrated.

Some are better than others. The one last night was a fantastic pitching performance regardless of it being a no hitter

It’s “rare” but it’s not impressive and from 2010-2019 there is on average 4/year. Santana had one on 134 pitches and walked five. Burnett give up 9 walks in his.

Agree completely. I’ve argue with my friends about this. A perfect game on the other hand, is really impressive to me.

There are 2,430 games in a season with 4,860 starting pitching performances. 4 out of 4,860 is impressive.

Wow. HORRIBLE review in the Braves/Phillies game in the top of the ninth. Should have been 3 outs.

He didn't even touch the plate! I have no idea how you review that OVER AND OVER and still fuck up the call.

What is the point of replay if you can't overturn obvious plays? Live i can totally see the safe call from his angle. But every replay angle was clear. He never touched the plate. Such bullshit

Just saw that missed call from the Braves-Phils. Yikes. That’s even worse than the “hit by pitch” from the Mets-Marlins game.
