Re: Rage Against The Machine

The teacher stands in front of the class
But the lesson plan he can't recall
The student's eyes don't perceive the lies
Bouning off every fucking wall
His composure is well kept
I guess he fears playing the fool
The complacent students sit and listen to some of that
Bullshit that he learned in school

Europe ain't my rope to swing on
Can't learn a thing from it
Yet we hang from it
Gotta get it, gotta get it together then
Like the motherfuckin' weathermen
To expose and close the doors on those who try
To strangle and mangle the truth
'Cause the circle of hatred continues unless we react
We gotta take the power back

I was fortunate enough to see them twice. Once at the Patriot Center, and then over the summer when they toured with Wu-Tang, I saw the Merriweather show. Saw a girl fight at that show.

    Hot Shit.

I would have been all up in the girl fight too.

I'm not allowed to play it in the car anymore, Louis is afraid I am going to break something, that is how I get.

There is a difference between chick fights and chicks who fight.

I have no problem punching a girl (or a guy) dead in the face.

I fucking love Rage, and I'd give my left arm to see them do a reunion show, since I was too young to really be into them when they were in their prime.

And what the hell ever happened to Zach? He just kinda dropped off the face of the Earth. I heard at some point that he was doing some rap work with "DJ Shadow," but I dunno whatever happened with that, if anything.

He's probably just been quietly active in the political world. I remember watching an interview that he did with Noam Chomsky, that was somethin' else. I also saw a video of him delivering a speech about freeing Mumia.

    Good ol' Zach.
