Re: Warehouse Warm Up 2019; Charlotte, NC 7/24/18

Sorry, but really? We have about 9 million shows from Summer 2018 officially released/streamed/webcasted already, including every single song on this release.

If anything, release a Winter 2018 show instead. Def will not be spending money on this if it’s not free.

A “DMB in their prime” show (‘98-‘04) feels long overdue.

So is this available already? Or are people just finding the page and the band didn’t intend to have it live yet?

Always cool to get a release from a show you attended. This one was super fun and a much better set than Va Beach a couple days earlier.

I’m not saying my opinion is correct, apparently I’m in the minority. But I view someone recording a Sirius concert as bootlegging. I don’t see a difference between that, and using a vhs tape to record a live broadcast of the NFL. Is this the wrong mindset? I’m genuinely asking.

(I’m not trying to police the internet, I don’t give 2 shits about other people downloading torrents, etc.)

"Every Ticket Purchase Can Be Redeemed for an Unreleased Live Recording from DMB’s 2018 tour." - free with ticket purchased from the WH. Well honestly, that's better than a copy of Come Tomorrow!

    Amen to that.

Wonder if we'll be able to redeem FLAC, or only MP3

    Hoping for FLAC!

This makes sense now and is actually a nice idea. Considering the show wasn't taped, this is a nice execution by them

So basically anyone who buys a ticket provided they buy it from the band can get this for free then? Not an awful offer.

Seems to be a great justification for keeping the ticket prices high also.

Okay, so a little confused by this statement:

    Quote:
What 2018 live show will be available for download?

The live show will be chosen and made public in the upcoming weeks.
If they've already chosen the Charlotte show, then why not just say that?

I *think* someone just found the Charlotte show digging through the DMB website and it wasn't made official yet?

Regardless, I was at Charlotte 2018 and it beat the hell out of VA Beach, Bristow, Raleigh for the summer line-up of four shows I saw. Band was on fire

I was just starting to accept this download is only available to Warehouse members who bought ‘19 Summer tour ticket(s). But now this will become available to non-ticket holders further down the line?

    My assumption on this is:

The chosen free 2018 show for the ticket purchases will be a separate show than the Warehouse Warm Up Show (Charlotte).

I’m going to guess they are the same show - why mix and master two shows when one will do? Would expect just one but I’ve been surprised before so....

I am on the same page. A rip of a webcast doesn’t really count as “releasing” a show.

Think this comes with the tickets? That seems like the best way. That redeeming shit from CT last year was awful.

    I agree

If this was the case then both 7/12/00 and 8/31/00 have been released

As far as the band is concerned, we have 1 officially released 2018 show - the Deer Creek Live Trax.

Seriously? At this point what’s there even to complain about in terms of releases? There are 46 Live Trax releases, of which a show from 2004 was just released a little over a year ago, there’s the DMBLive series that span a pretty fun era in the bands history, there’s countless soundboard recordings and webcasts...there’s plenty of music to entertain yourself with that spans every era of the bands history. As far as we know this could be free to Warehouse members, and even if it’s not, skip it.

People have grown really impatient these days. At this point if the band releases a show I’m not as psyched about, so what. They’ll be releasing about 3 or more releases throughout the duration of the year.

Also, why would they release a show from 98-04 for a release titled Warehouse Warm Up 2019? What would be the sense of promoting a 2019 tour with a version of the band that doesn’t exist anymore?

I feel like we’ve been bombarded with new era “releases” the last year. Yes, I’m including all the streams/webcasts from last year in saying this. The band knows fans save/rip those.

There hasn’t been a DMBLive release in over a year. The last 3 LTs have been newer shows. LT 43 came out in 2017.

It’s time for a 98-04 release again. Didn’t think there would be backlash in me saying that on this site. Haha

But to promote the summer '19 tour (this is the entire point of this download), people want a show from '98-'04, huh? KevinTH is right here.

The band is bombarding the fans with live streams of concerts and webcasts.

This is a terrible hot take.

If at any point you feel bombarded with content from a band you obsess over, feel free to just close the browser.

The last Live Trax was from the most recent tour. The one before that was from 5 years prior.
