Re: Random dmb thoughts that don't need their own thread

Also, its basically just 4 minutes of music with Dave mumbling/humming in the background.... unfortunately pretty underwhelming stuff... I always thought this one would have been an awesome intro to like the next Dave solo album but alas...it goes nowhere

I forgot about the 2004 Vote for Change tour. Neat sets in this short run.

That show in Florida was on my birthday and I remember taking an all night bus ride with my best friend down there to see it. What an amazing show, and one of my favorites to this day of all the shows I've seen.

I'd really like to see the encore from the first night in PA released.

A truncated Two Step isn't a big issue. Take, for example, the one from Folsom Field 2001. No jam in the middle, BUT . . . it has the powerful outro.

The truncated Two Step's in 2019 felt so empty. No reason it can't have the powerful intro segeuing into Ants (again, just like Folsom). That would actually be a potent way to close a set or encore.

Agree. Really ramp it up at the end and then fade into Ants or whatever. I think the best version of 2019 Two Step was the one where they weren't sure when the segue would start for Pantala so they rode it out a little longer and it gave it some of that energy you're talking about.

Big Whiskey is aging like fine wine.

Listening to the album in high quality with my AirPod Pros. The production is amazing.

My 4 years old girl drawing into the B/W poster coming with the Big Whiskey deluxe edition. I don’t know if it was meant for that but she loves it.

That's awesome man. I have a 3 year old girl, and I got a color-in poster from West Palm 2019 that I'm saving for her to color one day

Really hope Big Whiskey gets that Spatial Audio support that’s supposed to come this month. I don’t know if you’ve ever watched a movie with Spatial Audio, but it sounds really cool.

Yes - I watched an episode of Mare of Easttown. Was reallyy cool. It's too bad that it doesn't work when watching a show on my laptop because when I'm home, I obviously prefer my laptop's (or desktop's) screen compared to my iPhone.

Did you catch the part with what’s her name wearing a DMB shirt? It was in episode 2 or 3 I think.

The studio album is amazing and still holds up on my jogs when i rotate songs in from it for various playlists for hill training long distance and tempo runs.

As far as live the album is meh outside dive in and lying in the hands of God. You and meh, seven, even why i am are songs i really don't need in a live set.

It's my 36th birthday today and I keep playing #36 over and over and my wife has gone into the other room because she's getting tired of it. I now have Folsom Field Everyday playing to change it up a bit but I've lost her. Oh well. It shall continue.

I obviously can’t share IEM clips, but I just listened to the Scott Stadium soundcheck from 2001 and Stefan teased Red Glare. It’s interesting how far back some of these songs go.

Edit: I’m on the iOS 15 beta, so I think it’s just software actually that’s making the Spatial effect for me. I don’t think UTTAD truly supports it yet actually

That's cool, being from 01. I wonder if it was worked on with Ballard? How clear is it to you that it's Red Glare he's playing?

It’s as clear as it can be. It’s the little loop he does, and while he only does the riff once, it’s pretty clear
