One of my go-to bfast sams is a sausage/egg/cheddar on an everything bagel at Bruegger's... although I don't prefer my bfast sams on bagels this particular one is incredible.

I dig the taste and crunch/texture of the toasted english muffin.

The top three are all really close.

I really like the bacon/egg/cheese biscuit from McDonald's, the ham/egg/cheese english muffin or sausage/egg/cheese on a croissant from Dunkin', and the sausage/egg/cheddar on a bagel from Bruegger's.

I just don't prefer a bfast sam on a bagel because if you get it on a real bagel it's a chore to bite through and have the stuff inside stay inside.

Biscuit can also be an issue if it's too crumbly.

You're describing the ideal biscuit and the least ideal english muffin. English muffins can be great, as can biscuits....but they can both be awful as well. All things being equal, I'd have to go with english muffin because I like the texture of them when they are toasted properly.
