I spray all around the house foundation and entryways.

You can purchase a better, more potent product at farm centers if you have a tank sprayer and feel like mixing it yourself.

You probably already knew this but don't smash them, the smell attracts more of them.

i had a pair of concert tix i can't use, so i decided to give them away for free on my fb page. offer them up... 30 minutes later i have five people wanting them. cool. this will be easy.

one person wasn't first dibs but they have super nice/close season tix for the woodlands through their dad's company that they have offered me before, so i figured i would hook them up.

here's how it goes:

Me:
you want the tix?

Them:
I do. Maybe

Me:
you already have tix!

Them:
I didn't ask for them

Me:
well, other people asked first but i’ll give them to you if you go... i just don’t want them to be wasted

Them:
I won't let them get wasted

Me:
I can make sure they won't get wasted myself, that's what i'm doing now. are YOU going to be the one to use them?

Them:
If you're going to keep questioning me, give them to someone else

Me:
okay

- (transferred them to someone else three minutes later, no sweat off my sack).

it just felt kind of like they saw an offer for free concert tix and wanted to take advantage of them but once i asked some questions it came across to me like they didn't even plan to use them but might have wanted to gift them to someone else for brownie points. and that's exactly the type of person this is. it feels like they got very defensive when i specified "are YOU going to use them"... so, although i wanted to hook them up, they left a bad taste in my mouth.

did i misread that?

anyway, they went to someone who i know will enjoy the show and she's an Ant too.

no, not the case. They were last to ask for them but they had hooked me up in the past. if anything it was a "thank you".

but it didn't sound like they were actually into going and would probably toss them to a business client instead (not cool).

also, their dad's seats are row three dead center. these were lawn... not really comparable.

my take is that, yeah, that's pretty much precisely the case then, given the synopsis here. a thank you for prior gifts or a gift in anticipation of future ones is a quid pro quo either way.

separate issue, don't understand people's connection to tickets after they aren't going to a show/event. if the tickets aren't next to someone that you care about, what does it matter who gets the tickets?

Other than WH tickets, where I could actually suffer practical impact if the wrong person gets them and scalps them, I don't really have a rational reason but I'm definitely like that. I don't want to give good tickets to someone who doesn't really care about the music and might just talk through the show and I most certainly don't want any tickets I have to get scalped down the road.
Hell, sometimes when I sell tickets to a high demand show on Craigslist, I have the buyer meet me at the gate and walk into the show with me to make double sure the person isn't buying them just to flip them.

why? you aren't getting the money back. you aren't going to the show. if you give Friend A the tickets and she gives them to to her Friend B, who is to say that the enjoyment Friend A got out of giving the tickets to someone is lesser than the enjoyment Friend C would have gotten out of going to the show?

I just didn't think they'd sell quickly and I could take one down as soon as the other sold... well, both sold right the fuck away. Had to eat a 40% fee from Stubhub.

I can't decide if my current irritant should really be an irritant, or if I'm just being an asshole.

My wife gives our passwords/access to all of our paid subscription stuff - Amazon Prime, Netflix, Xfinity streaming, HBO Go, etc.... to my brother in law and sister in law so they basically sponge off all of our entertainment stuff and order things from Amazon for free.

For some reason it irritates me that they're getting all this stuff they we pay $200ish a month for (Comcast making up the largest chunk of that) for free, even though it ultimately doesn't really impact me at all and we'd be paying for that stuff either way.
