Trey + Dave Spac 07 - podcast tidbit

Over the past few weeks there has been a new podcast discussing Trey Anastasio's solo career called Alive Again. This week is the 4th and final episode, and at the 45 min mark Trey discusses playing his first "sober" note on stage with DMB at SPAC in 07. He mentions how grateful to Dave he is, calling him a great friend and person. He also mentions that Dave made a huge contribution to his Divided Sky fund, which Trey launched last fall to build a substance abuse recovery / treatment center in Vermont. Also has some good audio of a piece of the Lie in our Graves solo (I wonder where that came from?).

Pretty cool little piece there that I didn't expect while listening to the podcast. Obviously we all know about that sit-in, but hearing Trey talk about it 14 years later is awesome. Really cool that Dave supported his cause too.

This podcast is soooooooo good. Highly recommend even for those who aren’t Phish fans. Very in-depth on music theory and Trey is fascinatingly smart.

Also if you’re a DMB fan who doesn’t love phish, TAB (Trey Anastasio Band) might really be for you. Very horn and jazz heavy. This podcast leans toward TAB history I’d say

I feel like they'll eventually release this show as like Live Trax vol. 85 and I'll actually buy it for the first time in 20 years.

i was a huge phish fan from 95-98 and since trey anastasio band, i barely listen to phish, TAB is amazing and its a great way to see trey in a theatre
