I haven't been to a show in four years and think they need to scale their tours back.

If you or anyone you know is looking for a Big Whiskey Super Deluxe edition for a little cheaper than what DMB sells them for, I am selling mine. Itís been collecting dust at my dadís place for ten years now so Iíve decided to sell it.

I can't believe Bismark was not on CT/was not released at some point thereafter, even as a bonus.

I'm in with this, the fall/winter tour was perfect as far as spacing goes. Usually catch Mansfield/Hartford and SPAC at the beginning of the summer. I start to really miss DMB as soon as December rolls around.

but how does playing less shows mean that the shows they do play will be better? winter tours are only about 12 shows and are generally the same as the summer tour shows. they're not all better than the summer tour.

playing 25 shows in the summer instead of 45 doesn't mean that warehouse is still going to get 20 plays and shake me is going to be cut down to 5. they're both still going to be played roughly 40% of the shows. shorter tours are just going to limit the number of songs they bust out a few times during the tour because there are less shows. it would just be less of a chance to get something like STDHer or Loving Wings, because grey street, jimi, cornbread, ddtw are all still going to be played at most of the venues with only a couple tour debuts at each show, like its always been.

Exactly what I was getting at. Plus, I'm sure there will be many disappointed when their home/close to home/shortest travel venue is one that get cut and going to see them becomes a much longer trek/more expensive event than they'd like to for a concert. Even if that venue normally gets a mid-week show.

Re: Random dmb thoughts that don't need their own thread

I think they should scale back tour dates not for magically better setlists, but to create a little more demand for people to see DMB. I would have absolutely 0 problem with DMB doing 4-5 2011 esq Caravan stops every summer for the next 10 years.

12-15 shows a summer in five different parts of the country would make DMB a much more sought after ticket.

I mean the setlists for 2012 caravan shows were awesome Iíd enjoy seeing a three night stand of all different songs even if it meant only 12 summer shows

I had aging bands (like the Rolling Stones) I needed to see and remove from my concert bucket list before anyone died, so I was unable to see any DMB shows this summer. Please DMB, do not scale back the next summer show count because several fans here are themselves burned out.

Plenty aren't as well, the reviews from diehard fans after attending shows have been great, you'll see them

6/24/01 video surfaced 18 years later

That’s still by far the greatest watchtower I’ve ever personally seen. People were walking out of the show saying how out of this world that performance was

In addition to being the third live release by Dave Matthews Band, Listener Supported was filmed by PBS for an In the Spotlight special, and the entire concert was released on VHS and DVD the same year. The title of this release is taken from PBS's "supported by viewers like you". It is currently the only Dave Matthews Band live album to not contain the date or location in the title. This is because part of the broadcast agreement allowed PBS to release their own audio CD version of the television special.

Can someone recommend a good 2000 show that isn't a live trax and has a good tape? I'd like to dig in a little more.
