Is that a first come, first served type situation to stake out a spot there?

Yeah but it doesn't fill up very fast. Yeah, some of us wait in line and go grab it when doors open but I have literally done that, taken a full hour nap, woken up, and there are still tons of spaces there haha

Go in, grab yourself a poster and a drink, then head over to the terrace lawn and you'll totally be all set.

I appreciate this strategy, and it makes me feel comfortable about getting lawn now, so thank you.

Second vote for the terrace. I love it there, and much prefer it to being nuts to butts in the seats. If you get somewhat centered the sound is great, and if you are 2-3 terraces down from the walkway you dont have people trying to squeeze in with you all night.

I'm in this camp - I did not have a good experience in the lawn and I've sat there a few times. I can't find a spot with good sound, have to fight for any space and it's hard to find again when you leave. I also always get surrounded by people who are just at the show to turn their back to the stage and take selfies with their girlfriends the ENTIRE time Just my experience though.

Now, I've had some sorry situations in reserved seats, but at least there, those are my seats. I also think the sound is far superior down below. I have reserved 2 nights in 2021 and a box seat for one night... we'll see how that goes.

I think the seats there are so...packed in - I actually preferred the lawn at Gorge compared to the seats. Seats felt like I was being suffocated a bit - it was also super hot when I was there - so that didn't help matters.

Last year? It was strangely hot and humid the whole time. I saw 3 different people pass out N2 just in the area surrounding my seat.

Yep - last year. I had lawn on N1 - and it was fairly enjoyable - had seats N2 and N3, and it was sweltering down there.

Hi all!! Feeling nostalgic and sad this week as I would usually start prepping at this time...gonna be weird backpacking instead of dancing to Dave, but I'm sure my friends can endure some Dave tunes at camp as a tribute Hope you are all safe and healthy.

Where you going backpacking? I just got back from a three day trip last week in MRNP.

I'm going to spend this weekend with my normal Gorge crew at a cabin north of Cle Elum. Cookouts, playing some golf and a river float on the schedule.

I was presented with the best Valentine's gift ever by my girlfriend.... plane tickets out to Seattle for Gorge weekend. Then the pandemic hit. Would be flying out this morning. As for new plans, going out to a lake in Indiana and glamping with my parents. Probably make them listen to some DMB Gorge tunes... ha. The silver lining in all this.... I made the girlfriend my fiance

Oh nice!! That Cle Elum/Roslyn/Ronald area is one of my favorite places to camp on a last minute basis.

Where did you hit up in MRNP? We are doing some secret little lakes out behind Mt Pilchuck. Trying to avoid the holiday weekend crowds!

Nice! Assuming you're referring to Bathtub Lakes? I've never been back there, but looks cool.

I've been section hiking the Wonderland Trails the last few years with the goal of completing the whole thing. The first two sections my wife and I did were White River to Box Canyon and then Box Canyon to Longmire, both as day hikes with car drops. Last week we did the third section of Longmire to Mowich Lake that required two camp nights. We got perfect weather. That leaves us Mowich Lake back to White River for next summer to finish. It's been fun.

Ah yes, Bathtub Lakes! I can tell you're a real hiker now.

And that's AWESOME. I did the whole thing in 2018 starting from Box Canyon. Such an amazing trail. I'm sure section hiking is much more pleasant than doing it all in one go-definitely one of the hardest trails.

Such a sad feeling this week. We'd have been on the road already and well on our way to the best weekend of the year. River playing, WH burgers, and live DMB... Stupid Covid. Here's to hoping Gorge 2021 happens.

This was gonna be my first Gorge trip and would also end my run of shows for the year. I'm so frustrated by it, especially with how things have been the last week for me. A burger in the desert in the open scenery would have been a perfect cure-all. Instead I'm stuck inside with no one to see and nothing to do. BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Me too. I’ve already got Terrace camping and seats for N2 from LN. I’m going to buy WH lawn seats when they’re offered. I’m not hopeful though and I get less and less hopeful as it gets closer to January when they usually make the tour announcement.

Re: ***Labor Day Weekend at the Gorge 2021***

Does anyone live in a state where their state legislators have forced TM to cough up refunds for ‘rescheduled’ events?

I’ve got a thousand tied up with TM because WA state hasn’t made an effort. I believe AZ’s attorney general forced TM to refund ticket holders for rescheduled events.

Asking because I really don’t see a normal Gorge show happening in 2021. Maybe half attendance? But surely they’re going to have to issue refunds for some tickets
