A matter of time before I popped in here :-)
I have expressed my feelings on the matter of remakes quite a few times. For the most part I think they're the worst thing to happen to movies lately. There just seems to be a massive lack of creativity. The only movies or shows that I give a pass to is superhero franchises. 1. because I'm a huge fan and 2. because they're superhero movies. Just like the comics you can have hundreds of adaptations.
Personally I see no reason to make ANY of those movies on that list. It blows my mind that Hollywood green lights any of these projects. What blows my mind is that maybe 15% of these movies will actually make any money. Let's see...how well did the remake of Red Dawn do? Carrie? Total Recall? Poseidon? The list goes on.
