Re: ***Official Columbus, OH Thread***

I have a wild journey with Spoon. Seen it 3 times in different ways

1 full band with Brandi Carlile
1 Dave solo
1 Dave & Tim

But I would take Spoon at every single show I go to. One of the best songs, one of the best live ones too

0 for 37 for You Never Know. Only song I haven’t seen that I’m really worried about seeing. It’s been in rotation . . .

YNK Opened the 2018 show. That is one tune that I would absolutely take at every show.

You Never Know's last play this tour was at Riverbend. Perhaps he left it in Ohio and will pick it back up next weekend while he's in town

Wild how it works out. I went 15 years without the stone and got it 3 times this year. The only stat I look at and hate is that I've seen dream girl liberated more times than I've seen captain/ dreaming tree/ spoon and Cortez combined (which is being a bit dramatic since that's a 2 to 1 comparison heh)

Haven't made it to a show this year. Are they starting around 8:20 like past tours?

I'd be in your seat ready to rock by 7:35. They've moved things up substantially this year.

The amount left on ticketmaster right now is almost embarrassing. Come on come on Columbus, let's get this place rocking.

Especially if they are doing an XM broadcast. They are right on time with those.

Getting the impression there is no tailgating allowed in the lots around Nationwide Arena. Can anyone confirm/deny? Stop off for me on way to Notre Dame game on Saturday.

The short north area is where youíll want to head. Local Cantina always does the trick. Start at the corner of High and Goodale and walk north. Youíll find something.

Nationwide is in the middle of Downtown Columbus and you will likely have to park in a garage that would normally be full of business parking during the day. Head down to short north, there is plenty of good eats/drinks down there. If you get into town early enough, I'd recommend trying out The Thurman Cafe in the German Village--One of my favorite places to grab a burger. Wait times there can be long, but they have a bar inside while you wait. It's one of those Diner/Drive-ins/Dives type of places.

This show is pretty exciting because I really am not sure what to expect here. Sure, we have a majority of this tour complete to look at for reference...buuuuut they'll have been off almost 3 weeks since the last show.

Does it continue from where the Colorado-New Mexico-Arkansas run left off? Do they "warm up" and play all the highest played songs on the tour. Does anything new drop or something rarer come back (I'm sure they'll soundcheck to ready an indoors run)? Do they treat this last week of the tour as its own thing and a fresh start after resting up?

Its tough to gauge. I'd love for this show to repeat the kind of show that happened in 2018 in Columbus...but that might be a bit lofty a hope.
