111 Row K. I'm not super familiar with warehouse ticketing policies but there are plenty of better seats avail on Ticketmaster, kinda regretting going through wh for this one.

Do Renaissance or Hilton, quick uber with decent bars and clientele. Good food and drink nearby too.

I am under the presumption that it will be the same protocol for the tour now...must show vax card or proof of neg test. Don't know why that wouldn't be the case, but I do expect some official word here in the next few weeks.

I just hope Nationwide arena will make it happen. Look what happened to the Oklahoma shows.

Columbus is nothing like Oklahoma in terms of Covid policies. I wouldnít assume there would be any problems.

FYI, Nationwide Arena website says that masks will be required for the show, subject to change.

I'm eyeing this as a possible added show to my year. I've been to several of these fall/winter indoor shows and have always gotten tix well in advance and paid way more for them early than I would have waiting till closer (See: Charlottesville)

What are the odds we see a lot of unused tix closer to show date and this show being a nice, cheap added to my tour schedule? And I'm talking uppers in the back of the arena? As much as I'd like to see another show, I have to think these will come down from the $70 (tix and fee) price they are now.

My guess is that you will need a mask to get in the door and after that it wont be enforced. This must be a city of Columbus thing, as I have been to a lot of Ohio events in the past month or so and none of them required a mask. Even in Pittsburgh, they "required" masks in the Heinz Field club areas for the Rolling Stones, and nobody wore them. That being said, this is an NHL arena and will likely abide by any artist requirements concerning vaccination status.

I'm not sure why they don't just knock those upper levels tickets down to $30 or something. As it is right now, they absolutely WILL NOT sell these tickets. Lower the prices, and actually ADVERTISE the show, and it'll be a decent crowd. Makes me sad, because there was a time where Columbus got 2 shows at Polaris every year. I'm planning on going, but I'm waiting until the last minute to buy a ticket. I did this at the last 2 DMB Columbus arena shows I saw (2016 and 2018), and it worked out well. One of the good parts about poor selling shows.

The city of Columbus has an indoor mask mandate. The rest of Ohio does not, although I think Dayton and Cleveland do as well. I think what this means is that you will have to wear a mask until you get to your seat, and then you probably will be able to take them off.

I think the last Cville show I was at you could get uppers for about $10 a few hours before the show. Iíll be waiting it out as well since itís obvious this show isnít gonna sell out at this point.

If the City of Cleveland has a mask mandate, it is not being enforced at all. Went to Eric Church a couple weeks ago and I saw maybe 5 people with masks on.

I wonder how sales will impact future tours. Has to be a combination of covid fears and market saturation. In less than a 3 month span, they will have played, Cincinnati, Blossom, Columbus, Pittsburgh and 2x Deer Creek. On top of that every other band in the world has announced and gone on tour. Ticket prices add up. I think at this point, keeping Blossom and Riverbend makes the most sense in Ohio. Save C-bus as a once every so often destination (would have been nice in 2019, when Blossom and Starlake were skipped to have a C-Bus Show).

I spoke with Nationwide staff and we should plan for vax cards and masks. Unsure if the band is going to want to enforce the mask rule.

Not that I don't agree with the sentiment that they should lower the prices as the show approaches (ticketmaster won't lower them below face value ever, obviously but they will on secondary markets)....but I pay $20-30 to see small jazz groups play at local spots here in Columbus. You don't value these guys at a little more than twice that? Anyway, looks like uppers are down to $55 now....

Is Groupon still a thing? I remember buying like $20 lawn seats for slow-selling shows pre-pandemic. Was great, $20, out the door, no fees. I saw Matchbox 20, Green Day, and Van Halen with that...probably wouldnt have seen any of those bands otherwise. Doesn't the band get their appearance fee regardless of ticket sales? You would think Live Nation would just want butts in seats to sell their $16 beers and $5 waters to.

In 2021, people aren't willing to pay $75 + exorbitant fees for literally the highest row in the arena that's at a side angle where you won't even be able to see most of the stage. At the top of any arena the sound is shit and the view sucks; people aren't going to dish out $200 for a pair of uppers in this economy at a non-destination venue. If DMB was still at the peak of their popularity, they might be able to get those prices for a weekend show in Ohio but right now their shittiest seats aren't going to sell at that price. If the uppers were $35, you'd get a lot more casual fans and some college kids who don't have a lot of disposable income coming to the gig. I'll never understand why a band would rather have a seat unsold than to price it at $20-$30 and sell out the venue. The market dictates value, and it's become very obvious that DMB overestimates what people are willing to pay for the shittiest seats at their arena shows.

I mean, I'm sure you literally understand why it's this way, right? Ticketmaster bids on the ability to sell these seats and the band has nothing to do with pricing once the broker owns the tickets. I think you have some confusion about the industry on that front. There are commercial reasons why ticketmaster wouldn't reduce their prices to $20-30, not least of which is ticketmaster couldn't care less about beer and merchandise sales. Ticketmaster, as much as we all hate them, is far better than us at determining the demand for concerts and they can pretty easily determine that a 60% capacity show at 100% FV is better than a 90% sell out show at FV-x.

Regardless I disagree with you that people aren't willing to spend $75 on tickets....I do not think pricing is the reason why the Columbus show isn't selling out. If you lowered prices to your price points, I'd bet they don't sell that many more tickets, and Ticketmaster knows this.

Maybe I'm not experiencing the same "economy" as you but prices are inflating across the board ($55 uppers on Ticketmaster is not ridiculous) and I suppose I haven't been effected by employment issues with covid. If anything my appetite to pay premium pricing for good tickets has increased and I do not think I'm unique.

Not sure how many "kids" are really listening to this band nowadays anyway.... and the college kids that were listening to the band 10-20 years ago are the working professionals shelling out for premium priced tickets for a premium band.

    My $0.02

Not sure how many "kids" are really listening to this band nowadays anyway.... and the college kids that were listening to the band 10-20 years ago are the working professionals shelling out for premium priced tickets for a premium band.

    My $0.02

I hope 2021 is an outlier as far as sales go. I have been to 7 total concerts since August, 3 being DMB, and have 4 more coming up in the next couple months. Most shows were not even close to being sold out. I think it is likely a mixture between Covid anxiety, and on the other side of the aisle, not wanting to hassle with negative testing if unvaccinated, plus every single band announcing tours at the same time (average people probably see 1 or 2 concerts a year, max). Hopefully next summer we get back on track.

Why do you think this show is significantly undersold?

I don't necessarily think it's JUST pricing this show isnt selling out. I think there are a variety of reasons.

I've been to JPJ in C-Ville several times and even it doesn't sell out. I think it's the fact its an indoor show, late in the year, closer to the holidays, and then the price factor all rolled into it. I think if the ticket prices were lower, you'd see more people snagging up the available tickets. Myself included.

Which is why I'll wait until the week of the show and snag a pair for cheap somewhere. Last Cville show i went to you could buy uppers for under $20 each.

This might be a dumb question, but on the Warehouse site how do you find out where your specific seats are located? Mine just says lower bowl reserved with no specific location.

Only indoor DMB show Iíve seen was in Columbus 2016. Sound was bad. Low energy from crowd and band. Terrible set (Everyday, Mercy, DOTHS in first few slots). Not good.

The show a few years later looked much better. Not sure the odds of that happening again. The several week break may inspire them, but doubt it.
