Be interesting to see who falls further... 49ers or Ravens. I think both will take a dip next year but the Ravens are probably most likely to tumble. Jackson's style of play (validated by an MVP award) is not sustainable.

They'll also be losing their offensive coordinator who is an incredible coach and was a big part of why they were at that level

You're right, Lions just stink all around. Point is still true, he hasn't really done anything for them. Throwing for 5,000 yards once doesn't count when you're picks all over the place.

And everything you stated has been true of the Packers for the most part, the difference being Rodgers. The Packers actually went 44 consecutive games in the early 10's without a 100 yard rusher. But it didn't matter, because Rodgers was in the midst of the best QB play in history (until Mahomes dismantles that).

I think Ravens will be good. I’m sure there is a stat on this, but Mahomes looks like he takes way more big hits than Jackson.

I'd take Mahomes 100 out of 100 times over Jackson, he's on a completely different level, so good he's Reid proof

Might want to find a QB before you start proclaiming the patriots will simply "re-load" and be right there at the top of the conference.

Although im leaning more and more into being sure Brady is staying put. This is a power play, its becoming obvious.

I mean that's just how it's going to go, it won't take much to win the AFC East and after that you don't have to have a top tier elite QB, look at TN for example. Passing Shula and winning without Brady are two massive motivating factors for BB, they aren't just going to slowly fade into oblivion going forward as long as he is around.

Its very presumptuous to think its that simple when youve had the best playoff and close game QB ever during the run. Just saying, you have no idea whats gonna happen. That doesnt mean "fade into oblivion". NFL is a hard league to win, great coaches and players miss out all the time.

Yeah I mean I don't know if it's going to be two TE sets, running game, bring in proven WR who can still play etc. and I don't know what it's all going to look like in that way. I have no doubt they will reload and be competitive, not really worried about them overall until BB leaves. He does need to get better at drafting.

So if SF doesn't make the superbowl next year or Balt loses 5 games instead of 2, who fell further? No chance either of those teams repeat this years sucess

Yeah i think Brady is coming back as well. There were reports over the weekend that the pats are willing to go 2/60. If that's the case, reloading the offense won't be as tough as people think it will be

I also saw reports saying he isnt even asking for $30 mil per from the pats, just wants the reassurances they will go out in FA and try to get weapons and draft some.

Its been too much of a show/circus for how early on in the process it even is, and that twitter pic/commercial kinda sealed it for me.

Good point. My thought right now is that the Ravens don’t even make the playoffs. SFO might have a hard time making it also just because their division is so tough. It’ll be interesting to see how both play next year with young QBs that failed at the end of the season.

As opposed to drafting N'Keal Harry, bringing in AB, and trying a million other things which haven't worked while Mopey turned into a puddle?

yeah because drafting a big WR in the first round and bringing in one of the best receivers in the game isn't trying to get weapons for Tom.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm saying, the Patriots have tried over and over to give him weapons but everything they have tried hasn't worked lately. Where LastPig is saying him coming back or not will be tied to their commitment to bring in weapons seems a little off, it's not like they haven't been.

It being Brady I’d imagine he has some specific requests in mind he wants met. Are there any big time FA WRs this off-season?

Was just reporting stuff I saw. There has to be some kind of power play going on unless he’s really that narcissistic and is just doing this all for attention.

The only one i could see them going after is AJ Green. He isn't a big name anymore because he's been dealing with injury issues the last couple of years. He could be a good compliment if they could get him cheap
