Ive lived in Chicago over 10 years, and I dont know that ive ever looked into the ketchup thing before.

as well as the fact that the Chicago dog (yellow mustard, chopped onions, sweet pickle relish, tomato slices, sport peppers, a dill pickle spear, and a sprinkling of celery salt) is the "perfect blend of flavor" and ketchup isnt in the equation.
Anyway...in my experience no one cares if you use ketchup. I do sometimes. I feel like the no ketchup thing is more of a joke at this point
