Re: Curb Your Enthusiasm

I really hope they do a funeral for funk that is incredibly preposterous. I feel like funk man would have wanted that.

I don't think the last two have been as great as the season premier, but oh my god that ending

Also, Larry's reaction to the "doodles" is absolute gold. "That's a doodle?!"

    Dreadful episode.

The consent bit wasn't even remotely funny.

This season just isn't really doing it for me yet, yeah, I'm laughing a lot but it just doesn't seem like Curb. Everything seems forced this season so far where other seasons everything seemed more organic with the conflicts and what annoyed Larry.

That bit did, sure, so did the conversation about eating apples. I mean, there's still clearly classic Curb moments littered throughout but something just isn't quite there about this season, at least not yet.

Thought the first episode was good. Last week's was terrible, might have been the worst of the series. This week was better, but not saying much.

I'll agree with this. The first episode was great, the consent bit from episode 2 was the worst thing this show's ever done, it was't even remotely funny. This episode was better but still not as good as the first.

Yep, gonna echo everyone else. Week 1 was hilarious, and I honestly don't even remember what happened in the last two weeks' episodes.

I feel like the sexual harassment plot line is too forced. This just doesn't feel like other season's main plots, where Larry kinds of pushes against convention and societal acceptance, making himself antagonistic toward everything both in attitude and behavior.

Every scene with the lawyer or the assistant feels forced, the push towards conflict is so obvious and over the top that once it finally comes to its head, I don't even care because I knew it was coming at the beginning of the scene (or worse, like this past week, at the beginning of the episode).

Christine: Did you put any effort into it?

Larry: I put the same amount of effort I put into the doodle as I would if I was talking on the phone doodling - which is to say, none.

Definitely the best episode of a disappointing season.

It shouldn't take eight episodes to get a truly funny Curb, but here we are. Hamm was killing it.

Previous week's was funny too; but there have been some real duds this season. Thought for sure Hamm was going to be sleeping with Cheryl.

Could've been the last three weeks having great episodes if it hadn't been for the paid crier that ruined Clive Owen's episode.

I'll never ever sit at a wobbly table again and not think of Mocha Joe's

And whoever thought this season was a disappointment you're out of your mind. Probably the strongest season in a good 3-4 yrs imo.

    @TheRichardLewis
Great news for me! Although I’m still recovering from three surgeries and missing Season 11 of Curb, LD called me and asked if there was any chance if I felt strong enough to do one episode!
I am and here I’m on the set to shoot it. I’m so grateful.
