I'm bored and sick on a Friday night, and thought I'd throw out a hypo to see what people think.

DMB has just closed out a mid-summer set in, say, Camden. Fairly standard set, encore is supposed to be Sister, Why I Am. Then, as soon the the main set is finished, out comes Elon Musk who, unbeknownst to the world, ends up being a huge DMB fan. Consistent with his propensity for chaos, He offers each band member $3 million to come out and play Spotlight in the E1 slot. They can take an "extended" encore break and take 15 minutes to prepare. No tease or partial; full-blown song to the best of their ability.

1. Do they do it? Do the band members who aren't as wealthy as Dave beg him to do it?

2. If they do it, do they pull it off in any meaningful way?

why think about it? just tweet this to elon and tell him to do it at one of the shows next month and see what happens

Yes, they will do it because it’s $21M and Dave can still close encore with Shake Me.

Yes they do it, and Dave leads, because they love their money.

I think it would be better though if Will Smith came out with the same offer and they did Miami.
