Yeah, once I'm done I'll post pictures and it will, hopefully, make sense as to why I'm using that mount as opposed to the traditional mounts we're used to.

This is it. As you can see, it fits so many patterns and says something like 'we'll make it fit." Just assumed it would work.

I had that mount at my old house but thankfully it was already installed

I do or did. But we didn’t move it around much. But it worked out well with the way our couch and chairs were setup

I used the same kind of mount on my bedroom tv last year after our bathroom/bedroom remodel was done. I was a bit nervous about it being in just one stud, but it seems fine. I rotate it out occasionally to take my FireStick on a trip or something.

This was the exact one I got. I will say the tilt adjustment on it wasn't the greatest. It felt like I couldn't really tighten it enough. Not sure if it was my tv or the mount. But doesn't really affect it that much. It seems to stay in the right place.

    Okay...FINALLY done!

Basically, this thing fought me every step of the way. As mentioned, I really needed a wall mount that could hold a 40" TV and rotate 180 degrees. To an extent, that mount doesn't exist, so I was able to get this one to work.

First was figuring out a VESA configuration that would work. Once I even figured that out, I had to cut the mount to fit. Then, when I had the VESA pattern done, the bottom of the mount was in the way.

Damn, super nice remodel there. We're planning on doing something very similar to our kitchen; not going completely open but knocking down the separating wall and making the same corner into the corner of the island. That's at least a year away though, have to build myself a new deck this summer, just finished my basement which I'm going to try to showcase in here soon. Maybe I'll get on the collage thing today.

Wow them's some big changes. Nice!

Weird how much your "before" kitchen looks like my current. Same layout, similar colors/materials, and even the granite backsplash that everyone thinks is pretty unique. It wouldn't be our choice of looks overall, but it was remodeled within the last 10 years so it's fairly new.

I'll hafta get some up of our bathroom reno. Total overhaul of the bedroom/bathroom space.

Pretty sure the previous home owner re-did that kitchen in 2006. It was expensive granite and very nice cabinets, I hated seeing the granite get demolished, but also didn't care for the color. Luckily the electricians we hired took the cabinets and were going to use them.

We knocked down every wall we could. only had to have one post in middle to keep everything up

Tried to have no posts, but was quoted 10k more. Post looked great after that.

It's funny how much the finances factor into the ultimate appeal of doing things around the house. Basically what lead to me and my pops doing almost everything in my basement and it taking 4.5 months rather than hiring people to take care of it in 1-2

Okay here's mine. Hard to tell the before and after I think just from pictures because it was so drastically different.

First photo is the before, from the back corner of the bedroom with the door to the hall in the back right. Those are the closets right there in front. We never liked that part of the layout. To the left and behind the closets went the bathroom (one sink), and pretty standard toilet/shower room.

Second photo is from the same viewpoint of the bedroom. Closets are gone, now there's a wall there, and the new closet is all the space back there. And a new wall in the front left of the photo. Behind that are the vanities, with the shower across from that. Then the barn door I made for the doorway into the new bathroom/closet.

Third photo is the insides. Shower is in the back left corner, with the vanities across the way. Not pictured is the water closet with a pocket door, nested between the closet and shower.

Thanks. My wife gets a lot of the credit for that. I did the layout itself.

Definitely spoiled now for our next house, which may only be the in the next couple years. Likely going to have to have a very similar bathroom already in place, because we don't want to live through that again!

Right. In other words, he didn't like the post until the quote for removal and now it's a "damn fine post!"

    (Hence the $10k post)

Not to be weird but you and I or me and your wife or all three of us have very similar tastes for the bathroom/shower. I think I had that exact same glass tile installed in my old bathroom.

Alright, let's see if this works. Obviously we haven't furnished yet but that is coming soon. One step at a time! Still need to add some shelving underneath the stairs and in the laundry room, but those are easy and relatively inexpensive things I've just yet to get around to.

Not the basement, but I happened to take a picture of the fireplace to send to my wife the other day so I figured I'd add this in here: https://imgur.com/vFC6tda . I've also painted every god damn room in this house . The prior owners had such bad taste in color.

From the back corner next to the picture window: https://imgur.com/ItPzgbm

From the other corner on the wall that shares the door to go to the garage: https://imgur.com/m6xoWDn

Laundry room. Moved the oil tank over 18 inches and then boxed it in, adding the shelving area below the window: https://imgur.com/2RjvHsK

Those are all the before/afters using the pictures from the listing. Here's a bunch of other random shots of the finished product:

This sounds like the start of something fun...

Not the basement, but I happened to take a picture of the fireplace to send to my wife the other day so I figured I'd add this in here: https://imgur.com/vFC6tda . I've also painted every god damn room in this house . The prior owners had such bad taste in color.

Laundry room. Moved the oil tank over 18 inches and then boxed it in, adding the shelving area below the window: https://imgur.com/2RjvHsK

Those are all the before/afters using the pictures from the listing. Here's a bunch of other random shots of the finished product:

Very nice. The cut-out underneath the stairs makes a really nice impact.

With my luck I'd be lured under false pretexts and tricked into building a laundry room for Jared.
