I liked it better than Wednesdays. But at this point, it's like I'm listening to a ghost.

I've listened to it probably half a dozen times now over the past couple days and its a really solid album. Not as good as Prisoner but a million time better than Wednesdays. The first 4-5 songs are really good. Fuck The Rain is gorgeous.

Did anyone try to get tickets to the Carnegie Hall show that went on sale this morning? I wasn't really serious about going, but I tried for tickets just to see what would come up. They use a queue system like ticketmaster and it took about 5 minutes to get through the queue. By that time there were literally 0 tickets left. Refreshed dozens of times and literally nothing would come up. I don't know if Carnegie Hall really releases all the tickets all at once instead of staggering them out like TM, but it was just interesting to see that it really seemed to be sold out that quickly.

Strange, I wonder why I didn't get emails about those. I should be on his mailing list or were they Carnegie Hall presales?

He had an IG post a few weeks back that was hinting at a tour date and to be sure to sign up for the PAXAM mailing list. I'm assuming emails were sent out from that about the presales.

Of course, I only follow him on Twitter and he basically stopped using Twitter. It's hard to keep track of all the various social media platforms people use to communicate their stuff. I'm on his mailing list since I obviously got the email about the sale today, but nothing about the presales. Not a big deal since I doubt I could have gone anyway.

i guess i can post here without getting cancelled lol. time heals all i suppose, especially if there was an investigation and no charges

don’t care much for the man but i still like the music, good for him he gets to do this gig

i follow him on IG, last year was tough to watch. he’d post mental breakdowns and drunk videos of him threatening suicide and then deleting them right away. despite his past it’s good he’s in a better place

he posted really cool IG online sets. did all of Cold Roses/Heartbreaker/Love Is Hell solo acoustic. pretty much sang all his rarities solo acoustic on IG Live. but i think it’s all since then deleted, probably on the internet somewhere

I had no idea he was so active on IG. I just remember that he was really active on Twitter and then he stopped when all the news stories came out. He posted a couple times on Twitter late last year for the first time in years. I assumed he had just got off social media completely.

His new double album Chris is out now streaming only on his website for $25

He basically posted saying that he understands if people can't afford it right now and he doesn't mind if people share it around. It will be on all streaming next week.

I just cant justify spending $25.00 for Low Quality Mp3s right now, I still love a good vinyl / CD. BUT if anyone wants to share the digital copy as Ryan said, please pm??

I bought it and am listening now. It's good. I really wish he would have released FLAC files instead (there is literally zero reason to ever use lossy mp3 files these days, every player I know of can read FLAC files including my car's built-in player), but oh well. However, I wouldn't call the mp3's he released "low quality." They are 320 kbps, so that's actually "high quality" for that format.

I haven't spent much time with his catalogue lately, but it sounds like a good typical Ryan Adams album. Mellow, acoustic-driven rock basically. So maybe Prisoner, Ashes & Fire, or Easy Tiger? You can tap your foot to most of the songs I would say.

Almost done with my first listen of Chris and I've liked probably every song. Easily one of my favorite albums from him. It's that strong acoustic melancholy rock that he does so well (with a couple electric songs).

Getting reacquainted with his catalogue again I'm realizing that I have 5 albums/releases of his that I only have on vinyl with no digital version. I really wish more vinyl releases included digital downloads. I hate buying albums twice.

wanna share? lol I just don't want to pay for a digital album when I have spotify and it isnt there yet and I am someone who still buys physical music for my favorite artists. $25 is just way too steep for something like this right now.

He's doing several solo shows in the Northeast in May. I would also like to see a full solo tour.

I've seen him live 5 times since 2004 and I honestly can't remember which ones were solo. Seems like the 2011 show I saw him at was solo from a review I could find. I think the rest were full band.

Looking back I was reminded about a meltdown show in 2007 that I was at:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ryan-ad...eltdown-again/

All the shows since then have been great.

Digging around I also found recordings for the shows I attended in 2004 and 2007. Seems like the 2004 show is even a soundboard recording. I had no idea these shows were recorded!

I have Big Colors on vinyl, but I haven't listened to it. Big Colors was 80's inspired, right? Chris is definitely not 80's sound.

Idk, I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily got an 80’s vibe to it. It’s a really good album though, you should check it out.
