Saw the video of Dave announcing no Carter or Steffan. Also sounded like some of the opening acts would mix in with them to make it work for the weekend. Should be interesting and honestly kudos to them for not just canceling, people traveled from all over so a ticket refund wouldn't feel like enough.

My personal opinion is that it would be awesome to see a Dave and Tim style setup with Rashawn, Jeff and Buddy providing color and texture. Adding other musicians last minute who crammed the songs/arrangements doesn't sound ideal to me.

This band isn't a band you can just jump into on those instruments. A feature on a song or two with an improvised solo? Of course. But the backbone of the band? Seems tenuous.

McCready has played with DMB before and Stefan plays in an alternate band with Mike. Brandi is good friends with both the DMB and PJ camps. Also, both DMB and PJ toured together in 2004 on the Vote for Change tour. But I just mentioned them because they all live in the Seattle area and could be there in two hours or so.
