*Toy Story 4 (Release Date June 2017)*

I saw Brave in theaters last week and there was a preview for Monster University and for a re-release of the original Nemo, not a sequel to Nemo. Not sure if that is what the author in that piece meant or if there will in fact be a 2nd Nemo

I didn't backread, but you guys do know this isn't true right. There has been no confirmed plans on TS4. I can't say the same for Finding Nemo 2, that's definitely happening. But as far as the Toy Story story, rest assured, it won't be touched.

The director at Pixar (I believe) confirmed the other day that it wasn't happening. At least not yet

The Toy Story 4 "announcement" is simply a recycled quote from Tom Hanks from last year. Don't you think we would have heard something more concrete by now? I believe he may have been mistaken and was instead thinking about the "Toy Story" shorts they've been producing.

Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur sound promising. My optimism is cautious at best at this point though.

I can only hope this picks up where #3 left off. Andy goes to college and finds the girl of his dreams. He marries her and plans on having a family of his own. He goes back to the house to see if he can get the toys back he gave up so he can give them to his future child. Sadly, Andy doesn't get his toys back. This takes it's toll on Andy in the bedroom and Andys wife has to go to the Adult Store to get some new toys to satisfy her "frustration in the bedroom" We're now introduced to a whole new series for adults and a whole new cast of toy characters.

Brave made $539 mm worldwide and won the Oscar for best animated feature.

Wall-e, Up, and Toy Story 3 was an amazing run. Monsters University is their only post-Brave release. I wouldn't say one mediocre release means all hope is lost.

I didn't really even like toy story 2 all that much, so I could take or leave TS 3

I loved Toy Story 2. Loved most Pixar films. TS3 was dumb. Andy's toys were wrong. They don't get to make the rules as the new guys. F them.

The movie had funny parts, but the story was awful. End was dumb and typical Pixar tries to make you cry (see Up intro).


TS 3 was more unnecessary than Cars 2. That's saying a lot

I have no doubt this movie is gonna be awesome and just as wonderful as the previous 3.

However, it ended so perfectly in 3 that it just seems to take away from that beautiful ending to do another. That is literally just cashing in on a huge franchise.

Would not disagree that this new TS is more unnecessary though. The ending of TS 3 wrapped up the series beautifully/perfectly. So dumb to keep going after that.

Man, when 3 ended I said I do not, under any circumstances, want a 4th. 3 ended perfectly. I still don't want 4, but I will go see it and I'm happy Lassiter is doing it. Hope the rest of the cast stays the same, it's got potential.
