How much do you drink (alcohol)?

I drink a lot. I don't drink everyday by any means, but when I drink I drink to get drunk. I am on a pretty consistent schedule with it too.

Monday - I don't drink
Tuesday - Poker night - I always drink a 12 pack, always get very stoned
Wed - Bowling night - Drink at least a 12 beverages, usually a combination
of beer and hard iced tea, 2 or 3 Jager bombs, get very stoned
Thurs - I don't drink
Friday - Poker night - Same as Tuesday, except I don't have to work the
next morning so the 12 pack can turn into an 18 pack
Sat/Sun - This time of year it's disc golf every Sat and/or Sunday, so
at least one of those two days, sometimes both, I am drinking
a minimum of 8 beers, doing random shots, and getting stoned.

So on average, I would say I consume between 45 and 50 beers a week, Jager on Wednesday's, and then give or take 4 shots of whatever's floating around around the weekend.

I feel good. I'm never sick. I have a beautiful girlfriend and our relationship is great. I have a good job and I work hard, and I never miss work for any reason, especially booze. I'm in shape, I run about 16 miles a week, lots of push ups and sit ups. I feel as though I fall under the category of an alcoholic however. I don't really care either way, and at 30 years old I know this could eventually turn into a problem, but I don't feel as though I need to stop right now as it is not affecting my life in a negative way.

(I don't really care about the weed) I was just curious about everyone elses relationship with alcohol...

I still have beer in my refrigerator from last summer.

Maybe once every other month or so I'll have an alcoholic beverage. It's not a huge part of my life.

Ya you drink quite a bit. That really doesnt seem healthy at all. Your liver is going to die when you're like 40 years old.

This is not a joke, but I swear I dont not feel like I have a problem. Obviously I worry about it or I wouldn't have started this thread, but I feel fine and my life really couldn't be better in all aspects. I am a happy, busy, content person.

I drink about a 6 pack during the week and then 10-15 drinks on Saturday night. I can't do that more often than once per week.

I usually go through a six-pack every week. sometimes I'll skip a week and get two sixers the next, and maybe a beer or two whenever I go out (which is usually about 2-3 times a week), but I usually tend to stay close around 10 drinks a week average.

I think you (OP) should probably cut down a tad though. If you do that every week, I imagine there must be some damage going on with your liver

Poll is not public obviously, and I understand a lot of people may not want to share what I did. I dunno, I just had it on my mind today because so many people who drink like I do, well, their lives are in shambles. I worry about my future, but this lifestyle has been pretty consistent for me for about 3 years now, and I really do feel good. I have a ton of friends. I never drink alone.

I drink everyday and admit I have an addiction. I am a functioning alcoholic, but have considered getting help plenty of times. And, no I am not playing it up like im some college kid shotgunning stones every morning.

I chose less than 10 drinks per week but in actuality it's closer to never, but it's not never so I chose less than 10 drinks per week.

You tell yourself what you need to hear to give yourself an excuse to keep doing it. You have a problem. In shape or not you're killing your liver, no amount of situps or pushups or miles ran can help you there. Good luck to you, you probably dont have to quit but at least back off, it's not worth it! Take care of yourself!

I don't drink at all during the week unless there's a work happy hour, or maybe I'll have a beer if I go out for dinner. Weekend I'm usually getting decently drunk for one or both days. I'm at a point though where that's starting to wear me down and I imagine it will finish within the next couple of years. I'm 24 just for reference

I was sick with the flu last week, so I honestly have had like 2 beers in the last 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. Feels weird, man.

It's one thing to get yourself wasted on a Friday night while going out with friends or something, but if you're trying to do it every time you drink, which in this case, is nearly every day, I'd say you need to cut back.
