2010 was my 1st Gorge! I drove me & my 60 year old party animal of a mother in her RV from San Diego We had the best time! Met great people. Walked around in a state of awe the whole time. Such a fantastic vibe all around. I told myself I would now be going to the Gorge every chance I get and can't wait to do it again!!!

oh i know...i dont setlist watch too much, but i hopped on for that show. take a look at the opening run (minus smlam)

last stop>dt>grey st>busted>seven (a short and powerful one)>Crush>Write a song>LW tease...and then a few songs later they whip it out) Loving wings>Sleep to Dream Her


ya know how you have your favorite dmb songs? stone, dt, pig, bowa, last stop, minarets, liog, crush...etc?

but then you have maybe your guilty pleasures? or, what people would consider "second tier songs" that arent too popular among the fan base?

Sleep to dream her and Write a Song is like that for me. some people knock it but i fuckin love that nice little tune. simple, melodic, i dont know...its just me. at Wrigley i had just sparked a decent size J, had a sip of beer, and just heard the likes of Crush, BDTH, LIHOG, PM>Sat and PNP>Rapunzel (not in that order, i am just brainstorming). so i was jammin the fuck out. was ready for a change of pace song. i even looked to my buddy and said "i wanna hear Break For It or WAS right now."

then boom, that little ascending guitar riff and dave sings..."I wanna write a song that'll get you hiiiiiggggggghhhhhhhhhh"

i just stood and smiled...smoked away with one of my "closet favorites" from dmb

1. yeah, LIHOG live is pretty amazing. at wrigley i remember watching Jeff and he looked like he was going to pass out...dave was smilin, and laughin, they were enjoyin that song alot

replace the bolded with 2 reasonable songs of your choice...pretty flawless. maybe replace watchtower with two step or halloween and that would be amazing.

ive seen some pretty great shows, but my first show ever was when i was 13 and my mom took me...got me hooked on the band. i'll never forget it because it was my "initiation" to great music:

looking back there are songs that i would like to replace, but i remember hearing #41 live for the first time in person, the whole crowd wailing away with Dave...i was in it for the long haul after that. i remember my mom driving and a radio station, then called 101.1 The River, always played dmb for 24 hours straight the day of a show. right when we parked Pig came on, and at the time i was a little disappointed it wasnt played, but man...i walked out of there with a new respect for this band and music in general.

here i am almost 12 years later planning a $1,000 trip to WA to see them

The rumors are true. The Official Site announced that Dave Matthews Band is not touring in 2011. At all. No summer shows, no European shows, no South American shows. It is the first time in 20 years that the band will not be out on the road. The news item explicitly mentions that the band will be returning for the 2012 touring season, so fret not. 2010 will not be the final year for Dave Matthews Band.
