What is going to disappear?

We all know every album ends up having its share of rarities that seem to live on the liberation list after the album tour.

What do you think will be the rarities from Come Tomorrow?

I'm thinking they'll be:

Idea of You
When I'm Weary
Virginia in the Rain
Black and Bluebird
Here on Out

Re: What is going to disappear?

When I'm Weary and Black and Bluebird are the ones I feel strongly about. I think Here On Out will start getting more plays with D&T and possibly as an E1 (in the same vein of Some Devil or Oh) but wouldn't be totally shocked if it fell off the map entirely. I also think that Come Tomorrow and/or Come On Come On will go on the shelf and won't be tour staples for years to come. I like Come On Come On a lot but, based on this summer's tour, it's pretty obvious that Dave likes DYR, Samurai Cop, That Girl Is You, Again and Again, and Can't Stop the most. Those are the ones I see him keeping around.

yeah B&BB has already went to rare status hasn't it? Only 1 play this summer, pretty surprising.

Well, I think a song has to played live at least once to even qualify for the liberation list, so I think When I'm Weary will stay off the liberation list for a loong time.

Bluebird and Virginia are already pretty rare. I think SamCop, Can't Stop are the two most likely to stick around. CoCo, TGIY, A&A, and She will probably pop up now and then. I think Come Tomorrow will probably disappear for the most part.

I agree. I think it'll go the same route as Gaucho.

Can't Stop will endure. I know that's the opposite of OP's question.

It's not the song from the '06 batch (Idea of You, Break Free, Shotgun, Can't Stop, Kill the King) that I would've picked to make a record some day.

No way Idea of You remains a rarity unless Dave's voice is shot.

I'm thinking That Girl is You will eventually dissipate, along with Come Tomorrow and maybe Virginia (but hopefully not that one).

fortunate enough to see the lone BBB appearance this summer; its a good song so it'll probably go away. I also think Here On Out is gonna be a rare E1 which despite me liking it so much I actually think would be pretty cool.

Songs that will stick around with moderate to heavy rotation:

    - Samurai Cop
    - Do You Remember
    - She

Songs that will be less frequently played:

    - Can’t Stop
    - Idea Of You
    - Again & Again
    - Come On Come On

    Songs that will become rare:

    - Black & Blue Bird
    - Virginia In The Rain
    - Here On Out
    - When I’m Weary
    - Come Tomorrow
    - That Girl Is You (because of his voice)

The best songs will be the rare ones, like always...

My favorite from this album is Virginia, and that one seems like it has already been relegated to "Dave & Tim" duty at best...

The rarest ones will likely be:
    Virginia
    B&BB
When I'm Weary (might get played as often as Belly Full/Butterfly, at best)
    Here On Out

Most common are likely to be:
    Samurai Cop
    Do You Remember
    Can't Stop
    Again & Again

The rest will fall somewhere between obscurities and commonly played...

Very. It's like Dave knew it was a good song when he wrote it. They recorded it. Brought it out on tour in 15/16 and are now sick of it now that it's officially released.

    Sam Cop
    Again and Again
    Come Tomorrow
    She

    TGIY

    Songs that don't

Can't Stop (It's been given a boost, but they band will be sick of it soon)
    Virginia
    Black and Bluebirds
    WIW
    Come On Come On
    Idea of You

Come Tomorrow will stick around for any political stuff Dave does. That and Mercy will be two guaranteed songs he plays at that stuff.

Dave solo sets from now on for those events will probably be

I think they just got sick of playing Samurai Cop. They haven't played it in the last 2 tour stops. Hopefully by next year it becomes a rarity. Nice song, but enough already.

She's not going anywhere. She has hypnotized Dave with her groove, and he's going to taste her juju every night for the rest of the tour.

I'm fine with that. I'll likely never be at a political event he's at anyway. I'm not much of an active participant in those things to begin with and living in Georgia it's unlikely a big event where Dave would attend would happen.
