Agreed, recently. Drop me in fucking Austin Minnesota and one day will be the Spam Museum and I'll figure something out to do for the other day.

Drop me in Portland, OR or Burlington, VT and I will have fun. There is literally an endless list of things to do in this country. Each city is so unique and they all offer something cool. Just gotta poke around
    except salt lake city.

    i'd rather die.

If I'm ever in Minnesota I'll learn how to play hockey. That would be fun.

I don't like to hike or do that kind of shit, but Utah has great skiing and outdoor shit, no?

Their alcohol laws can get bent though

Surprised no one really mentioned Buffalo in here yet from what I can see.

I'm assuming people prob just forget that it even exists.

If I'm going to FL I'd rather go to Orlando. Maybe some day I'll get to Sarasota. To me it's just all old NE retirees there.

And beaches don't interest me in the slightest.

It's grown a ton in the last few years, the downtown area has a bunch of solid restaurants and there are tons of festival type events they have where they block off all the streets and have food and beer tasting. Went to the Greek Festival a few weeks ago and had a blast. They are building a bunch of new apartment buildings downtown and have really started to expand.

The Red Sox minor league team, the Drive, are here and the stadium is really nice for a single A club. I interned there a few summers ago when Mookie Betts was still on the team which was fun to watch. They've had some good players over the years come through, Bucholz, Lester, Anthony Rizzo all played there.

The indoor arena here gets some pretty good shows, PJ was just here, and I think there are talks of building a small amphitheater soon. Minor league hockey team also plays in the arena. Clemson basketball played there this season while our arena had renovations done.

There's a lot of Clemson students who move here after graduation and get jobs, it's only about 35-40 minutes from the main campus. The MBA program and a lot of the research projects are here in Greenville as well. There's also some smaller universities near by like Furman and Bob Jones, so there's a decent inflow of young people.

Being located right between ATL and Charlotte on that stretch of I-85 will only help it grow I think. The four hours between those cities is quite the gap and there's a space to be filled I think. A few of my friends will still be here so I'll definitely be coming back a decent amount, it's always a fun time.

It's not a "great" city by any means right now but I think it's got a lot of potential to grow.
I love Greenville. It's really starting to take off right now. Ton of growth just about every where. I'm not really a big city guy though, so maybe that's why I like it. Just about the right size for me right now, but in the next 10-20 years I think it's really going to be a hot spot for people to move to, more than it is even now.

I hate driving in this town. We need light rail already. Worst. Drivers. Ever. Other than that, extremely sprawley but downtown is really nice. Need to live in the distant burbs (like I do) to afford rent. McBee Station and The Lofts be like...rent starting at 1600/studio apartment. Lots of rich people here, most of them German. That being said, I'm trying to move West. Been back here almost 5 years now and I just don't see anywhere in SC being home to me much longer. Way too much bad memories here.

Traffic is garbage, especially Woodruff Rd. Worst thing about Gville. Definitely a lot of yuppies, but a lot of down to earth people too.

Not that I'd never want to visit there, but mark me down for Vegas. I just have no desire to go. Not really my scene.

I thought the same thing, but I had a great time. That being said, I went with my GF and didn't do the typical vegas bro trip. Did a good amount of gambling, but other than that we just went to the pool, went to great dinners, and saw a few shows.

I didn't think I'd like vegas, but now I definetly want to go back.

Agree with LOL Orlando. I get why people go there, but it's one of my least favorite FL vacations.

I've been gambling exactly once since turning 21, it doesn't really appeal to me. At least not in the typical gambling sense and if I want to bet on sports, I can just do it online. No interest in shows or chilling by the pool all day, either.

Maybe I'll go someday, but really don't see the appeal.

If you go to Orlando for anything other than Disney or Universal then you're nuts.

There are several southern cities with little to no redeeming qualities that I'd rather not visit, basically anywhere in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, etc.

Probably wouldn't want to ever go to Oakland, just doesn't seem like a nice place to visit.

Can basically cross all of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska as well.

Well then I would agree, Vegas doesn't sound like a good fit for you.

I just always pictured a trashy annoying parties with club music everywhere in Vegas and while its not hard to find those, it is easy to avoid those and have a great time.

I have actually heard Louisville is a cool spot. So I will exclude that from my Kentucky ban.

Just got back from Orlando myself (Disney). It's an ok city but like others said, I'd rather be at a beach if I'm in FL. Las Vegas is mildly enjoyable for three days max. If you're not a gambler/drinker like I am, you can take everything in within two days. If you've never been to the Midwest, don't bother, you're not missing anything.

Kentucky is a top 5 state for me. Horse racing and bourbon. What's not to like? Some of the most beautiful country are the thoroughbred farms around Lexington. I can't wait to go back.

Maybe I'll go someday, but really don't see the appeal.
Went to Vegas in 2015. Didn't gamble a cent the entire time. But, I love sitting by the pool so don't listen to me.

I was just in KY (Took a roadtrip 2 weeks ago and Kentucky was an integral part of it). Stopped in a General Butler State Park and Mammoth Cave. Great scenery. I was blown away by the Abraham Lincoln Bridge in Louisville too.
