I haven't seen one come up for sale (Ebay, Discogs, etc) over the past few years. I'm sure they have, but seem to be few and far between.

Soooooo pumped for it to arrive.
What did you pay? You know it is going to be re-released this year.

Really? Where did you see that’s coming this year?

That’s a good price. A few days ago on Facebook they had a post about Goldfly being back online and in the comments soneone asked about Ganging Up On The Sun and they responded with this year.

    Good luck!

I just got my receiver back after having it in the shop for close to a month. Tech couldn't seem to figure out why the right side kept going out. Finally said its something about the bias transistors or something.

Needless to say, he still doesn't seem sure it fixed the issue. Two days having it back so far so good. Time to buy some more vinyl.

Great to hear your receiver is in full performance mode again! It's the worst when a component goes down and not being able to fix it on the spot.

I posted in here ages ago about my Pioneer receiver not working and then I didn't know what to do about it, so I hooked up my first receiver from the 90's. I finally found a repair shop specializing in vintage equipment. The owner worked for Pioneer back in the day too.

For those in the Philly/Jersey area that may need their components refurbished or fixed, the shop is called Audio-Tronics in Cherry Hill, NJ. Frank, the owner, said someone drove their Pioneer SX-1250 from Ohio and stayed in a hotel while it was serviced because these specialty shops are vanishing.

I haven't been able to follow the thread on VMP forums today, so I don't know. But it has been stated that 5/6 of the album's included have been mastered and cut all analog by Kevin Gray at Coherent and were pressed at RTI

I was in my local shop this afternoon picking up a couple things and they just finished unboxing their record store day delivery. The top three on my wish list they had atleast 25 copies of each record; both Grateful Dead Albums and the Greenday Woodstock album. It’s nice to know I don’t have to stand in line early in the morning!

Looks like I'm going after 9 releases this year. I'm thinking about grabbing a few of those 3 inch records. I want to grab the Foo Fighter one to give as a present to a buddy. I'd like to pick up the Third Man ones too just because I think they'd be cool to have and I know they'll have an insane collectors value in the future. But I don't really understand how they're doing the Third Man ones. I keep reading about blind boxes?

I’ve got about 10/11 things on my list for next weekend, but really 3 or 4 that I really want. I am interested in those 3 in releases. Also very curious on how much the players will be.

I think its 4 possible records, you don't know what you get until you open it. To encourage trading I suppose, like a mini-pack of 1 baseball card? You also need a separate player if you plan on listening to them. And its usually one item per person, I don't know if these will be different.

I understand they were going for something fun but that's kinda frustrating. If I want the Raconteurs 3" but not the Dead Weather I'm just SOL? And if I want the White Stripes and Raconteurs I'm forced to buy one off the secondary market?

The more I think on it, this is a shitty idea and I may not be buying this anymore.

This 3" record thing....if RSD hadn't already jumped the shark, it certainly has now.

That, and when cassettes became a part of it.

It was released on CD as part of the 20th Anniversary Deluxe edition of Nevermind. Also had a stand-alone DVD / Blu Ray release. To my knowledge, it didn’t have a stand-alone release on CD. I pre ordered the vinyl.

I just looked at the track list and think I'm gonna skip it this year too, especially since it's a "RSD First" release. I'll see if the full show gets a release through Ten Club.

Re: **The Official Vinyl Collectors Thread**

Just saw where the store I've been doing RSD since 2012 is doing a social media contest to pick the first two people to go in. It's a fun idea but it's super aggravating to me. The last 3 years I've been 1 of the first 5 in each year. Last year I was 1st in line. I got out there at 2:30 to secure that spot and was thinking it'd be another early year this year.

Now, I don't even know if I want to bother going to them. What's the point of being first in line if someone can walk up 5 min before they open and be first? I'll have waited in line for nothing if they grab a single copy of something I wanted.

Thanks for hearing me out guys. I just needed somewhere to bitch where people would understand me.

yeah, that seems lame. place i go to is fairly orderly.

everyone lines up, and then rolls through the RSD section in a line. seems to work pretty well. always someone trying to grab something from the doorway, but not much.

i think you 'reward' the people willing to line up. i usually show up 90-120 mins early...def not at 2:30..

My first RSD since making the vinyl plunge! I talked to the shop owner last week and he said to call back this week to confirm inventory. I'm hoping to get at least 2 of the 5 on my list.
