Since they're not coming to Raleigh or Charlotte this time out, Saturday in Chucktown is going to be my show this tour. Sounds like it's a really good venue with great acoustics. Can't wait!

Same here. It's a travesty and Charlotte AND Raleigh were left off the tour for Wilmington. Last year we did Charleston N2 and I can confirm that it's a great venue. Just hope the weather and set are better this time!

Randomly just checked Ticketmaster and snagged a single floor for Saturday for face ($143+tax/fees)! Might be some random other drops over the next few months.

How'd everyone do with Warehouse tickets?

    I got Floor Section 6 for N1
300's for N2, but I found a floor pair on TM that I purchased

    Officially adding these shows!

I've never been to Charleston. For anyone familiar, can you recommend a great Marriott property to stay at in kind of the heart of it all? Looking at making a trip out of it for 5 days.

Eyeing the Renaissance and Courtyard, as they are in the "historic" district, but the riverfront properties are a lot less points.

The only 2 hotels I know close to the venue are a hampton inn & a Home2 Suites, neither of which are marriott so you'll be driving off daniel island to mt pleasant or back to charleston proper. Last year, we stayed by the battery in the south of charleston and drove across & was fine. However, for this year, we're staying closer to the waterfront park pier & taking the https://diferry.com/ to and from the show

The riverfront hotels are not walking distance to anywhere good. The Courtyard is in a great location downtown. The renaissance is in a really good location as well with plenty to do, but not as good IMO. I’m not entirely sure which hotels downtown are owned by Marriott other than the ones you named and the Marriott near the river.

Got Floor 1 for Friday and Floor 6 for Saturday. Last year I was in the very last row of 200 section for N2 and bleachers N1, so def upgraded this year.

Thank you for this, super helpful. Currently have courtyard, renaissance, and moxy booked.

Not concerned with staying by the venue but more in a cool spot to experience Charleston as a first timer.

I typically try to stay at Marriott's too but for the shows this year, we're staying on Daniels Island. Cool vibe and plenty of places to hang out right across the street from the venue. Last year they had a band playing DMB music N1. Things get moving around 1-2 pm and the shows started promptly at 7:30 last year. (I think it had to do with noise ordinances).

The downside to being on Daniels island is that there is nothing open post show at all, which is fine by me but if you're looking for a late night it won't be there. Also Uber/Lyft were TERRIBLE off the island. (We stayed at an airbnb hence our decision to stay on the island this year).

Plus you can always drive into charleston and experience things b4 the shows. IMO.

    Enjoy your time.

I was at a Marriott last year in Mount Pleasant, it was nice, but not around the downtown action. Could go to the beach though and I went to an area I think it was called Shem’s Creek? Not a bad Uber from the venue. And then we Ubered to Charleston once to take the ferry over to DI.

This year staying in Charleston at the Vendue.

Lots of great info here thanks! You seem knowledgeable about the area, so I’ll ask… anywhere there would be a place to rent kayaks or do something on the water in the mornings? Would love to get something active in before my normal eating all the food and drinking all the drinks pre-show haha

Not from the area just been a # of times (mostly for the eats & drinks).

But I'm sure some quick research will help you find something.

    oh, its insane.

Using points. Which is also super painful considering my last use of points was an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora. We try to save them for the epic adventures... but $500-$600/nt WOOF. Gonna have to pull the trigger for some shows this year with flight, ticket, and rental car prices.

Shem Creek is the closest place to downtown to kayak. You can rent them there. Shem creek’s also a really cool place to hang out and have drinks once you’re finished. Also saw you’re staying at Vendue, which is a great choice. Spent many nights at that rooftop bar there and my favorite bar (blind Tiger) is a couple of blocks away. Highly recommend. I’ve lived here my entire life (other than a few years in college) so happy to answer any questions.

Not surprised, it’s during Spoleto so there will be a ton of people in town.

Awesome! Thanks for this info, I'll look into Shem's Creek for kayak rentals. I went to that area last year on Sunday after the shows, but it poured down rain (again!). Awesome to hear about the Vendue as well, it is among the not so crazy expensive places (I did get a room with no window lol) in a decent location. I am taking the ferry over to the shows so it is close to that, which will be good for coming back at night. Can't wait to check out the rooftop and the Blind Tiger

Not much further you can get them at breach inlet where IOP/Sullivans come together if you want to have a bit more wide open spaces to explore.

    Hey y'all

I'm looking to go to N1 and N2 and am no stranger to Charleston/Folly Beach area. However, I've never been to the stadium and were looking for a place to stay. We are going to check out some of my fav stops downtown and hit up Folly for a day, but were thinking that its better to stay on the Mt. Pleasant side versus downtown because I feel like travel back and forth from stadium/hotel may kinda suck.

Any recommendations on hotels/places to stay in the Mt. Pleasant or even Isle of Palms area?

Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms is nice if you are wanting beach vibes.

Indigo hotel in Mt P has a good location and nice pool for convenience to DT and DI.

Just a couple options to consider.

We stayed at the Residence Inn Mt Pleasant last year, the hotel was good, there’s a few bars in walking distance we went to. We Ubered back from the show with a little wait but no big problem. We had been in Charleston during the day and taken the ferry to the venue on the way there, so not sure about Ubers there but I’m sure it wouldn’t be an issue.

Indigo hotel in Mt P has a good location and nice pool for convenience to DT and DI.

Just a couple options to consider.
